Was definitely not expecting the Leafs to push this to a game 7 after going down 3-1 in the series.

There are some things that are definitely going in the Leafs favor heading into tonight. First is the momentum, obviously. Second is that the Bruins looked pretty tired last night and have to play a back-to-back which could mean they'll be slow and sluggish all game. Furthermore the Bruins had issues with their plane last night and didn't get to fly out after the game and get a good night's sleep at home, maybe won't even get a real practice in.

That being said it's hard to believe that the Bruins lose three in a row including a game 7 at home.

Only about 4 hours until puck drop so we'll see what happens. If this game goes to OT though I probably will die of a heart attack...and, yes, I realize this is only the first round.

I asked for a Leafs defeat in triple OT of game 7 a few days ago, I expect the hockey gods to provide me with satisfaction.

One of the guys last night between periods was talking about how back in the day, American teams tended to have "customs issues" after a playoff game in Canada.

Devastated. Didn't expect the Leafs to win this series, but when you are up 4-1 with 10-12 mins to go in game 7 you have to win, no excuses. Yes we are a young team who will be back, but that doesn't make this any less painful. I'm going to be feeling this for weeks. I can't watch hockey rigth now, hopefully I come around once the Stanley Cup final starts.

Leafs and Jets fan. Fuck me.

1st problem was with 12 minutes left the refs put the whistles away and Luc-dick ran aroundmugging Gunnarson, Phaneuf..etc...and got away with it, the one should have been a 5 minute boarding penalty

One of the greatest moments in sports for me personally. I even got to watch it with a Leafs fan, which was priceless. I love seeing Toronto sports fail.

    Round 1 went 6/8. Round 2 picks:

    CHI def DET
    SJ def LA

    PIT def OTT
    BOS def NYR

Well that was a bunch of arse. Now I know how Montreal felt - we absolutely bossed the Penguins for most of the game, but got clinically punished on the powerplay. Encouraging though, we lost 4-1 but no-one on either side can really believe that's reflective of the game that was just played. Hopefully Bylsma does, because MacLean will have watched that and seen a lot of encouraging things.

We have to drop Kassian next game though. The gloves are not going to drop, and even if they do we have Neil and Cowen to answer the bell. I love Kassian for what he brings but he was the weakest link tonight, we really need another skater out there and until Spezza's ready (please be good for game 3, Jason) we should bring in Latendresse or Hoffman.
