Like I said, he overreached and refuses to back off of it like a child. It is pretty funny

this is why i have to laugh every time he talks about debate... its not debate its beating your head against a wall. thats why people have resorted to making fun of him. its not a debate and they are done banging their heads against the wall.

in all honesty this thread should just be closed at this point.

Slauson/Ducasse sucked, Moore had a bad year, Howard had an okay year. It wasn't very good.

If we are not on your ignore list, then do yourself a favor.

Stop looking dumb, and look up what the June 1st DESIGNATION actually is. Ive posted it at least 6 times.

They can cut anyone, at any time, and LABEL them a June 1st cut.(2l players per team)..if they were going to do it, they would have done it already.

June 1 only accounts for the shifting of cap dollars, not when the player is released....

Sorry to disappoint you. They're not cutting Sanchez.

No Murrell you're wrong the OLINE was great, thats why Slauson was allowed to walk, and Moore is still unemplyed..,rmfe.

Sanchez got mauled by Arizona...yeah, it was all Mark.

    So he gets benched...

And San Diego gets 11 sacks. Great OL play.

Scientists should study this thread as a case study in human interaction on the internet.

There is no way him and Hobbes would argue this way in real life because it would be attached to an actual human being. The internet provides a way of avoiding shame for people like this

Just like I caught Hobbes in another thread claiming TWICE that he vividly recalled James Harrison cracked Sanchez' noggin and it turns out he didn't even play that game. It is like trying to nail jello to the wall. And yet we need to stop namecalling...lol

    Don't forget the Titans!

All those turnovers at the end of the season should be charged to the OL.

    Can we do that?

i just dont understand how people can look at last seasons offense and think that the qb was the only thing going wrong

mark played like shit, but there was so much more going on that just bad play from the qb, its like everything else on the field doesnt happen except what mark does with the ball for some people.

last season is an anomaly. it will go down as the worst for a lot of jet players. i wouldnt count on that happening again. mark sanchez was not the problem. he can turn it around, given the right system. lets just see if he can beat out geno. either way the offense is gonna be alright next season.

This is a foolish and desperate argument on your behalf. No turnover, ever, is good. In your given example of a Hail Mary at the end of a half, first of all no competent coach would throw a hail mary at the end of the first half. a Hail mary is, by definition, a desperation play on the last play of the game when trailing. Any Interception, even on a hail mary, can be picked off and returned potentially for 6 points. They never are, but that's simply because there's no need for the defense to risk a fumble that in picked up by the offense and returned for 6 points.

Again, No turnover is EVER good. But lets assume, just for a moment, that your assinine argument is valid and some turnovers are better than others. Then this would STILL be the Worsts type of turnover.
    Your in field goal range.
It's 2nd down with at least one more shot at a first down and touchdown.
Your turnover has cost the team at least 3 points, possibly 7. AND given the other team the ball and put an already tired defense back on the field prematurely.

The only way your argument makes any sense at all is if you would be willing to punt in the other teams side of the field on 2nd down...but then again if that was a good play they would have just punted.

Trying to argue that a turnover that 80% likely cost the team points is a "good" turnover is just completly assinine and show's a complete lack of understanding of the game. The goal of football is to put points on the board, whether it be 2, 3 or 6 points. Taking that 3 or possibly 6 points off the board is basically the same as giving the other team points. And Sanchez has done thei A LOT over the course of his career.

Nobody thinks it was only the QB last year. Absolutely nobody thinks that, what I don't understand is how u can look at the tape last year and tell us it was the WRs/OL when Sanchez doesn't see defenders baiting him/trap coverages and forcing balls where they shouldn't go. HE makes those decisions. Those decisions are mostly what destroyed this team last yr. No, it wasn't just him, but he was the guy touching the ball every fuckin snap and he was the guy punting on 1st/2nd/3rd down.

If he gets the lions share of credit for 4 playoff wins, then he gets the lions share of credit for embarassing this fan base on a national stage OVER AND OVER AND OVER again last yr.

It was good. It wasnt great like the 2009/2010 OLines were, but they were definitely above average. As much as we hate on Slauson and Vlad, they were serviceable. Howard was average. Good in run blocking, but not great in pass protection. As a group they were probably between 14-8.

If you look at the good QBs in this league, they generally dont have outstanding offensive lines. Look at Rodgers, Ryan, Flacco, Big Ben, Peyton... even Luck, RG3 and Cam succeeded with average at best offensive lines.

This year it should be even better, so no excuses there.

I will say that the "weapons" were definitely some of the worst in the league though.

I honestly dont think anybody in this thread has said that. Everyone knows this team was flawed elsewhere, but many realize that the supposed franchise QB should play better than he did the last year and a half.

Yeah, agreed. The OL was not a weak spot last yr, it wasn't dominant, but too damn bad. An NFL QB is not going to get a perfect pocket for 6 seconds every fucking snap. I guess it was the OL forcing those passes into double/triple cov, the OL is the reason he has no peripheral vision or stares down his target.

He is using the result of the next drive to justify what happened, which is an ass backwards way of looking at things. So if NE had scored on the next drive then that play wasn't "like a good punt"?

That is a terrible way of evaluating the play of your QB. Of course he only looks at it that way with Sanchez. If it were any other QB he would call it for what it was, a dumbass pick that contributed to the loss.
