Team wins they get headlines team losses and they get zilch.
Funny stuff though in the late 70 s early 80 s guys like Mike Lupica were all over the Islanders . I think Lupica had a man crush on Trottier but I stray,,,,,the guy could not write enough about them,,,,,,,funny how things change. The team is now young and somewhat competitive hopefully they finally turn things around because in all of sports nothing and I mean nothing compared to rangers vs islanders,,,,,,forget yanks mets ,,,,or giants cowboys ar anything else !

Well, the isles made the playoffs tonight. Perhaps this team is finally heading in the right direction. All it took was sending DP to the minors to get things rolling.

Isles are among the best teams in the league over the past two months. Very nice to see them in the playoffs again, and Tavares should get serious consideration for the Hart Trophy.

Some serious talent on the Islanders. Moulson is a beast!

Very gritty getting a point tonight and scoring with a minute left in the game . This is not the best team in the playoffs but they play very good D and you can't say enough good things about the goaltending ! Young guys continue to play well,,,,,now let's see who the opponent is and if they can continue to make some noise ? Either way this ain't the islanders of 10 years ago

Well it's either the Canadians or Penguins,,,not sure why Boston dropped in the standings with more points and wins but that's how espn has it,,,I am glad we are in but I think f I had a choice I would rather play Boston . We will see how this plays out

shit.. I was really hoping they'd find a way to hold that 6 seed. I'll be in NY for my brother's wedding the 2nd week of may, and we were hoping to get the groomsmen together for a playoff game....... don't see them advancing now. we'll see. :shit:

Pens definitely won't intimidate Isles, I think Isles match up pretty well with them, especially with Shirley Temple nursing his missing chiclets and broken jaw...

Well the pens are the 1 seed for a reason , even without Crosby they are real good,,,,too bad the isles played so poorly and got behind so quickly that is not their formula for winning ps the defense was horrible in front of the net.
Would like to see us play with the lead Friday,,,,,,,still alot of series left but the isles must play better than this,,lwe were bad tonigh

The whole team wasn't any good, but they certainly have no shot if Nabokov is going to play that badly.

Great win for Isles, lesson to Rangers when they took the 4-3 lead they kept attacking keeping the Cindy's pinned in their own zone...
