we took the lead twice in that game each time the D immediately gave the lead back. One on a 90+ yd run and the 2nd on a quick TD drive. Yes Mark sucked but our TEAM sucked and we weren't making the playoffs w/ or w/o that win.

    Sanchez for MVP!!!:breakdance:

Anyway...it will be interesting so see how this season plays out.

Contrary to popular opinion, there is some talent on the roster.

3 and 4 point leads are SO hard to overcome in today's NFL, right? That's what Tennessee had over us...

They last scored with 20 seconds left in the third quarter. You mean to tell me that you're blaming the defense when they held Tennessee scoreless for a whole quarter, including zero points off of Sanchez's FIVE turnovers?

    That's asinine.

Unfreaking real!! Blaming the D again!! We scored a FG in the first quarter, and scored a TD in the 3rd quarter thanks to the D holding the Titans to a 3 and out causing them to punt from their own 5. That is the reason the offense got the ball on the Titans 35 yard line which enabled the dreadful offense to score a TD to make it 10-7.

After the Titans scored to make it 14 -10, the defense gave the offense the ball back FIVE times. In those 5 drives, Sanchez proceeded to throw 2 picks and fumble away the ball when we had it on the Titans 25 yard line.

He's just trying to get a rise out of you/anyone, nobody would actually watch that game and think it was a "team" loss. Hell I bet Ms. Olga Sanchez (mark's mother) would admit that the QB lost that game..

You can't go overboard trying to blame the D for that game. They did allow a few bad plays, but overall it was 14 points. Sanchez was by far at his worst ever. Yes, you can add Sparano being a terrible OC and everything else in the season leading up to that game, but Sanchez was scary bad. No need to try to defend that game. It was awful, but no big deal. It should not be factored into 2013 Sanchez except for his mindset, which we talked about before. Seems like he is doing well though.

I wish that were the case, but he is serious. He and Hobbes' obsession with him is mind boggling.

No but shouldn't a great D at least make a bad offense work for points? 90+ yd run? then a quick TD after our O had given the team momentum? It was a team loss, Mark sucked, the D sucked, everyone sucked.

we know our O was putrid, our D is SUPPOSED to be really good.

mark and the O sucked but so did the D.

I am not blaming the D, I am blaming the team. Mark was awful and probably was the biggest culprit but there were numerous culprits to go around.

sorry if we understand the game better than the average fan. The average fan blindly follows "experts"("experts" that barely watch the Jets play) that scapegoat certain players/coaches. The reality is there are many parts to the team that weren't working including the QB but we could have had Joe Montana in his prime and we wouldn't have won anything last year.

Tennessee last scored with 20 seconds left in the third quarter. They held a bad offense to 14 points. They made sure Tennessee got ZERO points off of FIVE turnovers that your lover had. In the fourth quarter, after they scored, it's been 3 and out city for Tennessee all the way. How the fuck can you sit there and type that the defense sucked in that game? The fact we didn't get blown out with FIVE turnovers is a fucking miracle.

You're making excuses again. The D did everything they could to make sure Mark and company won the game. Mark threw that chance away five times. Yet, you insist the D sucked. Incredible. Simply incredible.

Our O sucked, it was playing awful football. we finally scored a TD late in the 3rd qtr and what does the D do? they allow them to score a YTD in less than 3 mins. The D sucked, the O sucked. The O sucked more but we relied on the D more so their contribution hurt us as much.

The only laughter comes from you trying to discuss football. Go get some new opinions from espn or fox, we know you can't think for yourself.

More inaccurate assertions from the SuperFan. The majority of the laughter in this thread is coming from you and Hobbes opinions. You are trying to place blame on a defense that only gave up 14 points and gave the offense 5 possessions after giving up the last score including a start on the opponents 25 yard line.

You bring laughter into a lot of peoples lives. Keep up the good work!

This is why Sanchez is not the answer. Here we have Junc blaming the defense despite them holding Tennessee to 14 points. Yes they gave up a few points but you can't realistically expect a team to hold a professional football team scoreless on a consistent basis.

You don't get it. The defense is SUPPOSED to be good. Therefore 2 touchdowns on the road is terrible. You are just an average fan.

lol @ shouldn't a great D make a team work for points yet when that happens its "they allowed an 8 min drive to Matt Moore". Talking out both sides of the mouth as usual

I am not blaming the D I am blaming the TEAM. you guys think it was all mark but it was a team effort. B/c we "only" allowed 14 pts doesn't mean the D did their job.

yes playing at mighty Tennessee. How could anyone keep them under 14 pts.

It was an almost 13 min drive to Matt Moore that bled us to death. That's another example of the D blowing a lead, thank you for pointing it out. Sometimes it's quick like Cruz or Chris Johnson, sometimes it's slower and like Matt Moore and Tim Tebow but the result seems to be the same- our overrated D blowing leads.
