I'll say this... this is ny oh the pressure, my ass. This is the best place for any qb to play right now, all you have to do is score 2 touchdowns a game and turn the ball over less than 4 times a game and most of this fanbase will be thankful

Average!!!!!...that would be a monumental improvement over what we have had for the last 4 years.

One of our all-time best players getting traded got you pumped up for Jets football?

I like Idzik too, but he has a ways to go to eliminate the negative buzz. What I like most about him is that I believe what he's telling me. It was getting difficult to believe what Tanny/Rex were telling us, especially after the great Tebow hoax.

My optimism is centered on Morhinweg - the first legit offensive coordinator we've had in some time. I'm really hoping it makes a huge difference regardless of some of our holes.

I loved Revis of course, but it was a daily negative thing to me. Will he be traded? Will he stay? Will he walk after 2013? It was a bad situation that Idzik fixed the best way he could.

And Yes, I forgot to add the hiring of Marty. (And firing of Sparano). Great move.

This really sums it up. Why are people rooting for the kid and therefore the jets to fail? It makes no sense.

 Yeah, Holmes doesn't exist. I don't get why people are blatantly ignoring the fact that he was injured last year and it devastated our offense. They pretend like he doesn't change anything. What a joke!

Give the guy sometime then make a fair judgement. This is his first year and well it's gonna take a while to have all his guys or pieces together.

    No need to panic

The thing that the media seems to be forgetting is
that we have a new OC, new backs, a rebuilt o line and will
be much faster in the secondary, not to mention a new stud
    NT.

The subtraction of Tony Sprano alone makes the Jets worth
watching again - we may need another draft and a year or 2
to get up to championship level football, and Gino Smith needs
to be protected by both the organization and fans, he's a good
man that has been chosen by the media as Tebows replacement
as "whipping boy" ESPN and NFL Network are completely
low level know nothing fools - I wouldn't be caught dead watching
these very gay networks pan over Tebow / Farve / Sanchez -
Gays get obsessed with Brady like good looking men - the media
    today is 100% GAY.

Don't know where to start so I won't. Just want to say it seems someone may need to come out of the closet himself, and I hope your 1st post is your last.

    Completely agree OP!

I had been really depressed about the Jets after last seasons embarrassment, I just saw no hope for things getting better. I think the Geno pick was as much about him falling into our laps at pick 39 and being a must-pick there, as much as it is a way to revitalize the organization.

And the genius of that pick is that there pressure for him to be the QB of the future is not as great since he's a 2nd rounder. This allows the Jets to breath just a bit and really make him earn the starting spot. And if he happens to fail (which I don't think he will) the Jets are more free to move on from him then they were with Sanchez as the 5th overall pick.

Things are on the up and up!

Rex running the D. Marty M running the O. It's not hard to see that going places after everybody has their feet on the ground.
