prices are pretty robust so far for round 1. Season Ticket Holders are going to actually show up in their own seats for this because the Islanders never make the playoffs and who knows when the next chance will be
http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/hockey/rangers/rangers-healthy-time-playoffs-article-1.1330801 "Still, John Tortorella has hinted he expects Clowe back for the playoffs, which along with Dorsett and a possible Staal return could strengthen a lineup that gave the coach concern after Saturday’s 4-0 win over Jersey in the regular-season finale."
Why do you want Dorsett back for the playoffs? He's an animal, but he's a shitty hockey player. You going to send him out for a tilt at Matt Carkner? It's about his only use in that series, but it seems fairly pointless dressing him for that.
Exactly. Having a brute out on the ice when teams that have already played us think we are soft could really throw them for a loop.
I don't think anyone is going to be surprised by a guy who books triple figure penalty minutes every season. The only positive thing I can think of to say about Derek Dorsett is that he isn't a cheap player, but that's probably only because he's too stupid and inept to be sneaky. I think the Isles will be delighted to see the Rangers dress him, because he's taking a space on the bench away from someone who knows which way round to hold a stick. There's nothing wrong with tough players, but in the playoffs they need to be able to actually play as well.
Ala my new favorite non-Ranger, Chris Neil...whats the deal with Spezza, is he still out or did he get hurt again
Neil can at least play a bit. He's no Sidney Crosby, but he can skate a bit and he posts 20-30 points a season. Dorsett has only once hit 20 points in his career. I'm not sure where you heard that, but it hasn't been in evidence whenever I've seen him play. Perhaps he has hidden depths, but I doubt it.
Yes, fair point, and he might be better playing alongside better players than some of the donkeys he was surrounded by in Columbus.
I still marvel at the great skill Chris Neil showed in cheap-shotting Brian Boyle in the playoffs last year. Guy Lafleur must have been envious of that display of hockey mastery.
i'm sorry people, but that blackhawk goal song is fuckin' so limpwristed that it's an insult to the game. at the mere sound of the first notes, i want to bury a kitchen knife in the nearest persons neck. god damn annoying. amstel light pansy beer song originally right?
I'm actually a big fan of Chelsea Dagger. I like it as a goal song. But yes, you are correct - originally the Amstel Light commercial song.
Really? You want to go there again? Also, quite apart from the fact that Boyle invited it, you're getting yourself confused with Matt Carkner. Boyle threw down with Neil, got punched once, and went down.
