Lol @ the difference being QB play as if they both had a pro day or something. Each QB played a different defense. Simple, I know, yet so hard for some to grasp...

yep, one played a D that would get torn apart for 30 pts a week later against a legendary choker. That QB also had more talent to work with and was at HOME but carry on.

Misleading stat, of Sanchez's TD passes only 5 came in games the Jets won, and 3 of those came in one game. In the other three games the Jets won Sanchez threw exactly 2 TD's TOTAL. He threw 4 TD passes in the games the Jets lost, 2 in each game.

Thank you for helping reinforce the fact that Sanchez had almost NOTHING to do with 3 of the 4 Jets playoff wins, and his Fumble DID cost the Jets a superbowl appearance.

Dude what your saying here is the ultimtimate in taking stats out of context and taking them from an objective to a subjective level.

Take some debate classes, you really need the help.

your point is? You know Joe Namath didn't throw a TD in the SB, right? does that mean he sucked? you dig yourself deeper and deeper w/ each post. Instead of wasting time on insults go brush up on this game or have someone who knows the game explain it to you.

Sanchez is not getting cut. Try growing a brain cell. The Jets are obligated to pay him 8 mil, with no chance of getting a dime back if he signs elsewhere.

The 2nd and 3rd best QBs behind him are a 35 year old injury problem and Geno Smith.

Im fairly certain, Idzik wants to be a GM in 2014 and beyond, and as long as Sanchez is on Tannenbaums dime...he isnt goinganywhere.

Ps. smith couldnt take Sanchez in a straight competition yet any way. Maybe Garrard could, but this is a guy that missed last season, after getting injured pkaying with his kid.

Not solid footing for a GM.

Oh so now your changing it from points points allowed to points scored? rofl...dude your hilarious....Take my advice Just because Wal-mart is offering half price Lobotomies doesn't mean you have to have one every time you walk in.

you do know that during that same time span the Jets only won one Playoff game where the Defense allowed more than 16 points?

You do know that in 2 of those games Sanchez put up a total of 1 TD, and in the other 0 TD's...You do know that in every win the Jets WON by keeping Sanchez from throwing the ball...he averaged around 160 yards per win...The only two times he was over 200 yards passing were the two losses.

The less Sanchez throws the more the team wins...translation, the Jets were winning with the running game and defense.

Give it up Junc, Sanchez is done as the the New York Jets QB...he may get a few starts this year, or he may be cut/traded before the season starts. But regardless this is Sanchez's swan song...he's done.

You do realize you just admitted that it's possible that a 35 year old out of football for 2 years could beat Sanchez out of his job....

    Ringing endorsement for your stud....

we can reduce sanchez cap hit to ZERO for 2014 if we cut him before june 1st. The cap savings for next year is well worth the dead money this year. it is a certainty we cut him, unless we can find a trade partner between now and may 30th.... which we wont cause no one would want him.

so, he will be cut at the end of may, maybe sooner.

what idzik does with sanchez is irrelevant to his job. he isnt going to be fired after year 1 for cutting a QB who has been terrible and earning us cap savings next season. in fact, there really isnt anything he could do outside of like sexual harrassment that is getting him fired after 1 year.

Yeah and Sanchez won 6 games last year despite his stellar rating.

I'll turn on Geno when he has multiple 20+ turnover seasons.

Assuming the Jets aren't winning games and making the playoffs, right?

Peyton Manning had 29, 18, 17, 26 and 21 turnovers his first 5 seasons. He had 26 the year the Colts went 6-10 in year 4 of his career.

    Amazing stats, no?

Correct, In the Superbowl Namath didn't throw a single TD. However, he did throw 3 TD's in the playoff game to get them to the Superbowl and threw for more than 200 yards in both games, the second game against one of the all time great defenses in the NFL....not just that year but one of the ALL Time best defenses...in an era where the NFL rules were not pass friendly.

But yeah, go ahead and compare Sanchez to an actual legend. An Actual winner who actually took his team to the promised land the FIRST time he made the playoffs, who actually set offensive records, and not records that were just offensive. Who was actually named league player of the year, who actually LED the league in completions 2 times, who actually Led the league in yardage 3 times, including a then record 4,000 yard season, who actually led the league in passing TD's (1 time).

In other words even when Joe didn't throw a TD he STILL outperformed Sanchez despit Sanchez playing in a very passing friendly league.

Your like a lobotomized Borg, except in your case Logic is futile.

Not to mention playing in an era when only 4 teams made the playoffs in total, 2 from each league.

Junc, you talk about stats in context, but here's a clue...the more narrow you have to make your argument the more you are taking things out of context.

that kind of stuff happens when you're pass happy with a good QB. I'm betting there is a good completion percentage, number of touchdowns and a larger number of attempts to with those isn't there?

I'd be fine with mark if he had any of those. screwing up in the red zone doesn't do it for me.

cutting him june 1st or after training camp won't make me turn on him either.

Look at every other stat and Manning is far superior in every aspect. Mannning averaged over 1,000 yards more, 10 touchdowns more, and completed 6% more passes in their first four years.

I know stats don't tell the full story, but still everyone would take Manning then over Sanchez now.
