when combined with your vocal admiration of Pereiro's "guns," I am not sure if that is a surprised wow or a gasp of excitement.
Good for him. If I was a gay athlete I would have came out sooner. I am pretty sure there are tons of more gays in pro sports. I hope they come out too and this thing becomes a non issues.
that is easy to say when you are not gay and not in the situation. unless you are, you can't say what you would have done. if it was so easy, all the gay athletes would have done so. so, either you are suggesting you somehow posses some sort of quality that all gay athletes are some how deficient in, which is why they have not come out, or your statement simply has no merit because you don't have the experience it requires to make it.
Dude I don't need to be in his shoes but I can understand the pressure he feels. But at some point you gotta be brave. I am a Muslim living in New York metro area for the last 9 years. I never hid I was Muslim even though I was denied housing etc. Not saying this i equal to him admitting he is gay but believe me my situation is not cake walk either You are who you are. No need to hide. If you like being banged in the ass by another dude just say it without feeling any shame.
In fact I didn't mean that. Reading what I wrote earlier and you can definitely come to that conclusion. That is my bad. All I am saying is they shouldn't feel any shame coming out. Although there might be people giving them hard time, there will be people like me supporting them. Not my place to label the people who aren't coming out something. It is their choice. Although I don't agree with it, I respect it.
HONESTLY , does anyone really give a shit if someones gay or not? What next.... a black QB in the NFL?
lol good one.... i just tell it like it is but the wow refers to my thinking, and maybe its wrong, that the NBA would be far less likely to have a player come clean than the NFL, which has had the headlines about this topic for a few weeks now. maybe thats what gave him the urge so to say.
I'm not sure you understand how rough it is going to be for the first major athletes that come out. They will be endlessly ridiculed, tortured, harassed, and threatened by opposing fans.
including your own miserable and worthless existence? Say hi to Fred and the gang at the next cross-burning.

This is what it had to be. A guy who doesn't have a lot to lose. He's at the end of his career and was a bench player anyway.
