In terms of pure viciousness, he looks like a good replacement for what we lost in Landry. He might be the suckiest safety to have ever played the game, coverage wise etc - but Rex won't have a problem loving this kid, a train wreck hitter and looks fucking dangerous... EDIT: I'm guessing he's having some sort of medical condition where he doesn't have any hair (he lacks eyebrows, etc) and wears a bandana on every single photo of him.
Since when has the combination of Jets + tattoos been an issue? Considering your avatar, I'd bet you're the most suited to answer that.
I don't consider it an issue; I was just making an observation. As for the avatar, I thought it was hilarious several months ago when Rex's tattoo was made public and everybody whined and complained like infants because "the head coach of a team can't be someone who would get a tattoo" - every player in the league has a tattoo and half the coaches in the league are former players. I don't have one, but I don't view whether or not someone has a tattoo as being case dispositive over whether or not they are a competent football administrator.
No one talk about the tattoo b.c he had one. They talked about it b.c of the numbered jersey the tattoo was wearing.
Actually, they talked about the tattoo because they don't like him (because the media doesn't like him) and they are willing to latch onto anything they can that gives them an opportunity to complain about him some more.
According to Gil Brandts top UDFA list ... the Jets have landed a few good ones. http://www.nfl.com/draft/story/0ap1...op-undrafted-rookies-following-2013-nfl-draft
Saw Shanahan play a few times vs ND....came off impressed. He's average in every department...nothing overwhelmingly jumps off the tape but he makes the little plays here and there. Very good blocker(Though as a WR, as a TE I don't know if he can be strong enough to contain OLBs/MLB/DE), gets a decent enough jump off the line of scrimmage and has sure hands but he's just not crazily athletic. Thing with Shanahan is he got held back by a mediocre QB in Tino Sunseri and being in a run first offense so his numbers and production don't jump out at you. If he was in another university IMO, he would have been a 5th to 6th round pick.
Just read read that Marcus Davis has signed with the New York.....Giants.... http://hamptonroads.com/2013/04/receiver-marcus-davis-signs-fa-deal-giants Bummer, I really liked this kid.
Worth a shot! Not many guys have experience in the elements. I wish they would get someone and just keep them for a change, Malone wasn't the horrible. They ditched Weatherford and he become good for the Giants.
You guys wanna watch a great piece on Zach Rogers? here it is then one of his nice highlights
