This picthing staff is just sad. He should have left Niese in. When I see Ike I feel myself getting annoyed.

Bullpens are notoriously variable from year to year - there really is no reason for Alderson to not bring up people from the minors and throw them in and see what works. It's not like any of these clowns is part of the long-term plans of the team.

Amen. The bullpen is atrocious. There is no way that any of the Triple A or even Double A players could be any worse than some of the scrubs currently in the bullpen.

Said it last week but Collins is a paint by numbers Manager and his removal of Niese yesterday was typical....guy was pitching well and to lift him with the main order to come was fucking retarded.

Harvey not pitching very well tonight - at this rate he won't make it past the 5th inning.

Man, I knew Parnell would blow it. Only because Harvey is pitching.

And now the defensive specialist Cowgill screws it up on defense.

And that's it for Harvey. Might have been nice if Baxter had been coming in on the ball when he caught it, but those are the kinds of fundamentals no one seems to know any more.

DP and it's on to extra innings.

Well, I can stop watching now. Also, terrible job by Baxter getting under the fly ball. He had no shot to throw him out because he had no momentum going towards the plate.

Idiotic play by Pierre to deliberately leave his elbow out over the plate. If he ended up breaking it it would serve him right.

Did Collins really just call for an intentional walk on a 1-2 count?

Got out of the inning, but I'm sitting here stunned. Like he really called a intentional walk on a 1-2 count? I'm in disbelief.

Collins got good odds at the Borgata for a manager forcing a walk on a 1-2 count in extra innings

    going to the 14th

fun fact they mentioned on SNY: The Mets have been involved in 3 of the 5 longest games in MLB history. 25, 24, and 23 innings I believe.
