One of the things overlooked about the Tannebum regime is that he drafted so poorly and traded away so many picks the we have no FA's that anybody else wants to sign. We've gotten so few compensatory picks over the years that it reflects on very poor drafting.
6th round, hoping for one of the following, S Rambo, Tony Jefferson, Zeke Mota... WR Da'Rick Rogers, Marcus Davis, Ryan Swope... LB Chase Thomas.. If it's a punter hoping for Wing. But with the above players still avaiable It wouldn't be my 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th preference.
I don't disagree - I would like him OK I was just responding to the idea that this was a major steal.
9 more picks guys... keep those fingers crossed. If we are going based on BPA and Rogers is there he has to be the pick.
Add Zach Line to this list. Great FB for our WCO. Wouldn't mind Brad Wing either. I think he'll be a good punter.
On the plus side the Jets should get between 3-5 comp picks next year, most experts are putting the number at 4. Too bad that wasn't this year, this would have been the ideal year for the middle and low round extra picks.
He's potentially the best WR in the draft, was the best WR in the SEC as a sophmore but had some drug issues. Has ideal height and runs a pretty quick 40. He can catch almost anything thrown to him but the drug problems got him kicked off the team. He's a high risk player but if he can stay clean he has pro bowl potential.
Have the Raiders taken a WR yet? Oakland seems like they could take a gamble on Rogers. He'll fade away into nothing but he's their type of player.
I didn't add any RB's because of the current RB depth on the roster. Though I should probably have listed TE options,
So let me get this straight, we should HOPE our good players leave us via free agency so we can get picks?? That theory is great for only one day in the calendar year - today.
Wouldnt mind if our last 2 picks were like: Rodgers,WR Washington,WR or Rodgers,WR and the WCO fullback you speak of not many safeties left.. Rambo still lingering.
No, that wasn't my point at all. Ideally every player we draft would be a great player but it's impossible to keep all of them. The problem is very few of the guys Tannanbaum has drafted were players that others wanted to sign. That means we've done a poor job drafting.
