If they wanted to sell some jerseys and excite the fan base with a later round pick, it would have been Swope. But not the Jets...

well Turner could play Center which was very valuable but having a guy like him to play 3 spots could be beneficial for any team, we got great value and are building up our trench game

Unlike Either of them,Rambo is a play maker plain flat... why not get him, he is plenty more talent in my eyes.

Thanks Barry. That's really good to hear that we got good value in the 5th round. Getting some depth on the line is not a sexy pick (as you can see by some of the responses in this thread) but the trenches are so important.

I really like this pick. Another good guard who can do a job for us and helps beef up the line. We needed to add bodies to the roster on the O line and we've gone and done it.

Really good pick and you could make a case yet again he was BPA.

We should trade back up and get Swope....

    Holmes
    Hill
    Kerley
    Edwards
    Swope

Nfl.com has him listed as a top 75 talent and possible starter at lt. Maybe he was drafted to push/replace Howard down the road

Still sooooo many good players. You gotta appreciate the depth.

Why do you suppose nobody has drafted him?

Yet all these safeties keep coming off before him. Something is up.

Yes, great comparison although I think he is meaner than Turner. He plays with a lot of aggression. I see him as a RT but has limited upside. I really like this kid. Great value to grab a potential starting RT that can move inside if need be. I don't think center is an option but tackle and guard certainly are. Winters could also be moved to RT if we needed to although I think Winters is more of an guard. I think Oday will be starting in two years as will Winters. With two picks left we can still add a late round WR or OLB. But we have addressed the OL with two potential starters in back to back picks (with Ivory sandwiched in)

How can you not love this quote

"One of the reasons why I play this game is because you get to beat up on people without getting into trouble," Aboushi told NFLDraftScout.com. "I love finishing plays, I love dominating opponents, I love making opponents give up and surrender to your will."

Maybe they are "ignoring" skill positions because there is nobody they see left on the board that can make an impact the way Oday could. I know you probably think otherwise, but you're a guy on a message board, they are professionals.

Swope won't make it past #153.

I agree swope's stock was rising, surprised he's still here. Would not be opposed to trading up at this point but it probably won't happen
