do you actually watch college football? Do you know who Mike Leach is? Do you know who was in his coaching tree? Do you know what his offensive system is? Are you familiar with the QBs from that system, their stats in college, and how they have all translated to the NFL?

Calling the Red Raider Air Raid an NFL offense should result in a ban on this site.

And the Jets haven't been to a Superbowl in over 40. Pot calling the kettle black. Both organizations refuse to stop stepping over their own junk.

You mean the Jets won't give him a chance to start no matter what.

no Air Raid QB has made it in the NFL - the system inflates their numbers and that system doesn't work in the nfl

wait I got it they will make Geno into a RB and Tebow can be our TE lol

See you Tebow college fanatics finally came in handy!

Every air raid QB for TEN YEARS has had almost exactly a 70% completion rating. Every passing stat out of that offense HAS to be taken with a massive grain of salt.

The kids never learn to read a defense, audible, or line up under center. Their passing yards are inflated by high percentage throws and YAC, and they are stifled against fast defenses.

The Jets have been of the most successful franchises in football over the past decade.

this is my issue. its just like david klingler and andre ware and all of the flash in the pan run and shoot guys of days past. this abortion of an offense does not give you any kind of info on how this guy will perform in the nfl.

he did great when guys were running wide open and he had no pressure. he struggled against good teams and pressure.

i just dont see him being a good pro qb. but we will know in 3 years. :(

i keep reminding myself this means sancho is gone... and that makes me a little happier.

why can't we just let the kid play football instead of people shitting themselves about the 2nd round pick

like jesus, the media calls us a circus and im sure some fans being fucking stupid adds to that

Too bad the Jets drafted Geno Smith. Otherwise, this would have been a great draft class. That pick ruins it though. I like the Ivory pick up. By the way, everyone saying this is a good pick to at least get Sanchez out is crazy. Mark is much better than Geno. Sadly, Jets fans will find out the hard way.

This line of thinking is absolutely pathetic for so many reasons, I won't even start explaining.

Geno Smith in 2nd round, great pick! whether he's a bust or not.

Geno smith said "jets are going to playoffs" he has it in his head that he will be the starter i guess. Im not a fan of geno or the pick so , i dont think he will start this season if Sanchez is still there belive it or not sanchez is better then geno he will beat him out,Sanchez has always been a good practice player his only good quality

Hopefully Sanchez is kept and beasts out. Then we can trade Smith for a 2nd round pick in a couple years.

While I agree somewhat with your post here, having decent stats in college
can be indicative that an athlete has skill-set that might yield positive results.
My posting of Geno-minator's 2012 WV stats was for the purpose of discussion
only & NOT as some proclamation of the coming of the "NEW NAMATH" nor anything similar to the idiotic, Te-blowmaniacal following of his college career.
G-man has a modicum of talent & if guided correctly, can amount as surprising & positive addition to the Jet collective.

In what way is Mark better than Geno??? Geno is way above Sanchize in every facet of the game.
