Think you mean Kelce. But I agree for the most part. Lacy or Woods would have been good there too. Still like the pick though. EDIT: oops never mind misread.
wtf is everyone upset about? Did you watch sanchez run into an ass last year? After that game we would have loved to have rick mirer. Im not upset about this
lmao for 40+ years Jet fans have bitched and moaned and what have we got lets try something different
I saw those guys on the screen here...they are from up in the swcond level...nfl network showed some idiot being pathetic as usual
Exactly. if we get him the chemistry will be there... over a thousand yards for bailey and 25 TD's. i hope no one grabs in this round...
Absolutely 100% agree. Best college receiver last year. 3rd round due to his height and lacks track speed
It took us four years, 2 OCs, and a GM, to recognize Sanchez sucks. Do the Jets let his contract ride out and just let him suck our way to Johnny Football or Bridgewater? Nah, let's start another project. What's great is...we'll figure out he sucks about the same time as the draft has a QB draught. And on, and on, and on.
Bart Hubbuch @HubbuchNYP 1m The Jets hate Mark Sanchez so much that they're sending him to Browning Nagle's passing camp.
I'd like to see us take Landry Jones if he's still available in the 6th round. Having two young guys increases the odds that one of them will pan out
I love that we think Sanchez job is taken. Some of the same people saying everyone is overreacting about the 1st two picks
PFW on Geno the savior... "Negatives: Operated an offense where he received adjustments from the sidelines and was often out of sync with receivers. Average field vision and coverage recognition — forces throws and does not work through progressions. Takes unnecessary sacks and does not feel pressure well. Not an elusive scrambler. Shaky lower-body mechanics — does not stand tall in the pocket (crouches, hops, dances and elevates to his toes when he throws). Has pin legs and bad pocket posture. Operated almost exclusively from the gun. Not a student of the game. Nonchalant field presence — does not command respect from teammates and cannot inspire. Mild practice demeanor — no urgency. Not committed or focused — marginal work ethic. Interviewed poorly at the Combine and did not show an understanding of concepts on the white board. Opted not to compete at the Senior Bowl and has approached offseason training as if he has already arrived and it shows in his body with minimal muscle definition or strength. Has small hands and glaring ball security issues (32 career fumbles). Really struggled handling the snow in Pinstripe Bowl (took two safeties) and will be troubled by the elements. Needed to be coddled in college — cannot handle hard coaching." B-U-S-T
I'm not gonna jump over the ledge on this one. He has the tools, and really the only reason he even fell was because WV sucks on defense, so they had to push it on every possession. I remember we had the "tank for Geno" posts going here for awhile, similar to the tank for Bridgewater posts until the Texas Tech game. Is he a perfect QB? No. Far from it. But he does have tools, and success without his tools being fully developed. He'll also have the chip on his shoulder, and a decent defense behind him. For a second round pick, this was a good pick. As long as he doesn't run into the ass of lineman, he'll be an improvement. And I hope he starts from Day 1. I've seen all I need to see out of Sanchez. Sink or Swim with Geno, and then regroup next year. He's also a good fit for the WC offense, although I hope we go more shotgun this year to help him with setting his feet, rather than concentrating on getting back and then setting his feet.
We picked a 3tech DT (3rd year in a row btw) and a QB (we have 6 QBs on the roster andb5 linemen. Last I knew you could only play one QB at a time. Horrific draft
