you mean the same team that drafted cameron heyward after jets fans shit on the jets for taking mo wilkerson one pick before.
A good way to think about it is from Herm to Mangini. Under Herm, the DEs are guys like Abraham: 6'4, 260ish. In the 3-4, that size player gets kicked out to OLB. The leagues ideal OLB is, shockingly, 6'4 260 lb Demarcus Ware. Under Herm, the DTs are guys like Ellis. 6'5, 290. In the 3-4, that exact player became a DE. Our current DEs are both around that size, Wilk a little bigger.
This..... Are we really trying to imply that the Steelers aren't a model franchise? I guess 6 titles isn't that impressive when you compare it to ours, nearly 45 effing years ago.
Not bad to say the least. Not to mention, all of these guys on rookie contracts through at least next year. A talented front line that is both young and cheap… you don't find that too often. With Pouha & Devito gone (and let's not forget how bad our run D was last year), DL was definitely a need. Sure, we probably have bigger needs, but Richardson was just too good to pass up on at #13. With his versatility, I think we'll see him standing up a fair amount this season, too.
they are not going to 4-3. rex likes the 3-4 that is why richardson is wasted pick. He will be a ROTATIONAL player with Coples and Wilk. Most smart teams don't waste a #1 pick on a rotational player.
