Want: 1. Bjoern Werner 2. Tavon Austin 3. Kenny Vaccaro 4. Star Lotulelei 5. Dion Jordan (no chance) Don't want: 1. Ezekiel Ansah (major bust potential) 2. Mingo (as above) 3. Warmack (too early for a guard) 4. Cooper (too early for a guard) 5. Any QB edit: doing this list just made me realize even more how much I want us to trade down in this draft - there is not a single player I would love to get other than Jordan and he is a near lock to go #2
Want Tavon Austin Dion Jordan Johnathan Cooper Chance Warmack Kenny Vaccaro Don't Want Barkevious Mingo Geno Smith Jarvis Jones Alec Ogletree Lane Johnson With their two picks I'm hoping they trade down but if not, Tavon Austin and Johnathan Cooper would be ideal. They can draft Sio Moore later to address OLB because Dion Jordan is the only OLB I like that is supposed to go 1st round.
Outstanding. 100% on board with this. If we get at least one of the first 4 you mentioned and one of the next 5 on your list I would cry of happiness and commission the building of a statue for our new GM. Further, if we get a safety on the second, and a combination of WR, OL, RB, LB on the rest, netting 3-4 full time starters out of the bunch for 2013 I would make the statue 10 feet tall, holding the usual NY rags under his arm and pissing on Newspaper articles of Cimini and Serby about the so called circus atmosphere.
Ok I know I'm stirring the pot, but why is everybody so fascinated with Austin? I only bring this up cause we already have a 5'8 receiver. Austin may be a better playmaker than Kerley, but Kerley is no slouch. Plus in order for Austin to be effective in the NFL, he has to have receiver screens and reverses. May I remind you guys that our QB this year is Sanchez, who can't even throw a regular screen pass. I agree that we need a playmaker, but were not one player away on offense. Lets hope he's available at 13 so we can trade out of that spot, and receive more picks. This is a deep draft.
5 I Want 1. Dion Jordan 2. Jarvis Jones 3. Tavon Austin 4. Chance Warmack 5. Alex Okafor Honorable Mention: Ryan Nassib 5 I Don't Want 1a. Barkevious Mingo 1b. Mike Glennon 3. Xavier Rhodes 4. Eddie Lacy 5. Matt Barkley
Ian Rapoport @RapSheet Prospects getting picked apart. Barkevious Mingo not so much. Scouting director: "He's so clean. Such upside. When u meet him, you love him"
Even taking a guard in the 1st round is a wasted pick unless maybe it's the last possible hole you have and you can't trade down, I doubt Idzik is that stupid.
Want: 1. Dion Jordan 2. Ziggy Ansah 3. Chance Warmack 4. Kenny Vaccarro 5. Shariff Floyd Torn: Jarvis Jones Do not want: 1. Mingo 2. Star 3. Patterson 4. Allen 5. Austin 6. Rhodes
It's not stupid when it's a full blown need and the best gaurd prospect in 13 years. There would be a lot of use for the pick if it was Warmack. The trenches are the most important part of both sides of the ball and right now out oline is terrible on the right side.
