I feel this pretty much has to be done, 2 rounds 4 players is too much to pass up, even if it means leaving austin, smith and the like.

Its all hinging on wether or not whats left is better alone than addressing two needs with one pick at lower rates.

I actually much prefer the reality where we trade down both and get 5 from MIN and SF.

I mean besides Guard and MAYBE DE/OLB who's worth it to sacrifice a chance at getting two picks for one?

we can get a OG,pass rusher,CB and QB as well.

    make it happen.

The 31 to 34 in recent history:

2012 - Doug Martin, David Wilson, Brian Quick, Coby Fleener
2011 - Cameron Heyward, Derek Sherrod, Ras I-Dowling, Aaron Williams
2010 - Jerry Hughes, Patrick Robinson, Roger Saffold, Chris Cook
2009 - Beanie Wells, Ziggy Hood, Louis Delmas, Pat Chung
2008 - Kenny Phillips, Phillip Merling, Donnie Avery, Devin Thomas

Those picks don't scream "trade for me I'm valuable!"

On the other hand the 13's:

    2012 - Michael Floyd
    2011 - Nick Fairley
    2010 - Brandon Graham
    2009 - Brian Orakpo
    2008 - Jonathan Stewart

    And of course the 35's:

    2012 - Courtney Upshaw
    2011 - Andy Dalton
    2010 - Brian Price
    2009 - James Laurinaitis
    2008 - Brandon Flowers

So who knows? Hit your picks and you're good on 13, 31 or 34. Miss them and you're in the muck.

It's risky but I would take it if given the opportunity we need players. Simple

    true dat.

This is my ideal draft day honestly. I don't mind the thought of losing out on a coupe of pieces of talent for taking 5 picks between 20-40.

not sure how feasible this all is and I'd be content with just one trade down, which I expect yo occur, but there you go.

so many needs filled in so little time, a dream...

I don't think the 13s in this draft are much different than the 31 and the 34. So I would absolutely be in favor of getting two instead of one. 31 is a little bit low for my liking, but someone will fall that's appealing at WR, S, OLB or CB. Could always try to trade back up again if you really wanted someone who fell into the 20s.

I have to say that was a very nice post. :)

It illustrates the uncertainty of late first round early second round picks.

To drop down to 31 we would have to have the 49ers 1st and 2nd from KC and their 1st next year.

not sure what draft value chart you are using, never happen. It's not like we are in the top five picking.
