From the group of players expected to go in that range, who would be your two ideal choices at No. 9 and No. 13? Choose two above.

Barkevious Mingo: College stats aren't top 13 worthy. Too must bust potential.
Geno Smith: I wouldn't spend a 1st round pick on a QB unless I'm 100% convinced he's a franchise QB. Most teams only win Superbowls with franchise QBs.
Jarvis Jones: Undersized as a 3-4 OLB, but college production is there. Health issues still have a red flag, even though people say he was miss-diagnosed. Horrible combine performance, but we aren't a track team.
Star Lotuleiei: I prefer we don't go D-Line for the 3rd year in a row. Lets hope Ellis pans out.
Xavier Rhodes: Cro and Wilson did fine last year, CB isn't a need. It's a luxury to have 3 good corners, most team's don't.
Johnathan Cooper: If we go guard, we go Warmack, as most "experts" have him as BPA of this whole draft. I heard Cooper is more athletic, but Warmack is basically a lock for many pro bowl appearances.

So we have Vacarro, Warmack and Austin. Are any of these guys worth a #9 pick? I don't think so. Trade #9 for multiple picks and draft one of them with our #13.

Went with Star and Jones because those are the best players on that list. Best player available. That's who I want the Jets to draft with 9 and 13. Or trade down and take the BPA there.

I will understand if they have a different idea though. There are lots of memes at work in the NFL today and the Jets are talent deprived for many of them.

Tavon Austin and Geno Smith would improve the Jets offensive potential next year more than anything else they could do on the first two picks. While the value is not the same as the two defensive players above you could argue pretty strongly that the value for the Jets overall posture is at least as strong.

sitting around today i think 1 of those picks is gonna be mingo. gut feel.

remember our GM had some chips on the table in seattle with the selection of irvin last year.

have no idea about the other - think its offense and either austin or OL. maybe cooper cause word has it he can play center as well.

If they don't trade up, I'm willing to bet the Cards draft Warmack at 7.

I went Jones and Warmack but would be fine with Cooper instead of Warmack.

Bruce Irvin was a major sacker in his 2 seasons at WVU with 29 TFL and 22.5 sacks despite not being a full time player.

I don't see Mingo in that class at all. Mingo played in the SEC to be sure but he had 23.5 TFL and 12.5 sacks as a full-time player.

Star and Jones, imo, are the 2 players that not only can make an immediate impact but will improve the Jets D dramatically. There's just too many question marks with Ellis: he's one of those with 'potential' stamped on his forehead, and so far, bits of it are seen: and he's always seems to be injured at some point in the season.

That being said, it wouldn't surprise if they pick 1 each for the OL & DL in the 1st.

I chose Star and Tavon Austin.

I'm not thrilled about going DL again, but I would be excited about Star; and if he's there at 9, then he's definitely worth the value and more.

Star/Jones, hopefully. Austin/Geno is possible, though, and I wouldn't be upset if we got Warmack.

I want Austin at #9, TYler Eifert at #13, then EJ Manuel/Nassib in Rd. 2, Warford in Rd 3

Interesting to see Star Lotuleiei & Jarvis Jones as the leading vote getters (for now) but there's very little overlap in their voter base. Seems like the majority of the votes are interested in either Star Lotuleiei or Jarvis Jones but not both.

Just reading up on him for a little more detail, and I had no idea that he would be 24 years old before his rookie season was over.

"What If" ... Jets trade back from #9 to some point later in the draft, take Cooper @ #13, and then Fluker later in the 1st. Last time Jets went Oline with two 1st round picks it worked out pretty well, and would seem to fix a pretty big need.

For me, I picked Jones but then I couldn't see us getting 2 defenders with 9 and 13. Granted the defense should be beastly, but I don't think we can give 9 and 13 to both defensive players.

So I went Jones and Chance. Warmack might be a little too high but no trade down option :)
