who's looking to trade up right now? Anything that doesn't include two picks is a waste of time obviously. Do the 49ers or Vikings have a need that could warrant giving up their two picks? Pass rusher, Guard, WR, QB in that order would be ideal. A CB would do as well.
Just because DeCastro slipped does not mean that Cooper will. Think of it more like a coin flip where the player goes where projected give or take a couple spots. If that is the player you really want you use a pick where he is projected (or above) otherwise it is more likely than not that he will be gone.
The only way we get Bridgewater or Manziel next year is if we are top 3. Unless we Ditka the hell out of some team up there like the Redskins did for RG3. 3 Frist round draft picks and a 2nd round pick. Those teams are generally hungry for their QBotF too. The Jets don't have enough assets. We'll have to genuinely suck.
if we stay at 9 and 13 9 jarvis jones olb 13 cooper og that said, i would be very much in favor of moving down to get more picks. like the idea of 1st this year and next.
From Rotoworld... At least one NFL GM believes the 49ers are interested in moving up to No. 13 or 14 in the draft. The 49ers have a league-high 13 picks and no more than seven or eight would be serious bets to make one of the NFL's best rosters. The Niners are likely to ship off later-round picks for 2014 selections while also attempting to trade up in the first round. They've been mentioned as a pursuer of West Virginia's Tavon Austin, but Yahoo's Jason Cole reports San Francisco "would like to get a defensive lineman who can eventually step in for veteran Justin Smith." BYU's Ziggy Ansah would be a high-upside addition in the first half of round one. Don't think Ansah or Austin would be there for them, but maybe they'd target someone else there.
Honestly I doubt the Vikings are giving up 2 1st rounders to move up to #13 but I could see a deal with the Niners. Their 1st, a 4th and 5th. I don't know the whoel formula that goes into it but I think that would be quite a good deal for us and one that allows them to take who they are targeting at 13.
For them to get to the 13th slot, their 31st and 34th would be about equal value, but that seems like a stretch. I don't see who they'd really like at #13. Ziggy Ansah will be long gone and it might be too early for a guy like Datone Jones, who would seem to be a nice fit for them. Also too late for Tavon Austin. Unless maybe they really like Kenny Vaccaro, I couldn't see them moving up there.
I would probably wait until certain players went off the board to pull the trigger on trading down but I would love to see a Jimmy Johnson style draft from the Jets where we trade down a few times and still come away with some top talent.
Here's a mock with us at 13. They have us going Austin at 9 and Warmack at 13. I am one of the Austin pick supporters but I also think he will be there at 13. I like Jones/Ansah/Mingo/Jordan at 9 and Austin or Vaccaro at 13
These three values are awesome I would trade down and back up to get these three if possible: Cooper at 16 Patterson at 17 Carradine at 19
Watching Mingo vs good competition (Texas A&M tackles)... DO NOT want him...
Read an interesting stat about Patterson. He only caught 9 passes of 25 or more yards and dropped 31. Even if the numbers aren't 100%... No thanks. He obviously lacks concentration.
I think a trade has a 100% chance of happening. We WILL trade one of these back for 2 picks from either the 49ers or the Vikings. I'd give a higher probability that SF does it, considering they have more to offer and use themselves. theres a low chance they trade back both of their 1st round picks. so many possibilities have opened up, thursday night will be an amazingly entertaining one.
Yeah, but was he the problem or did he have a QB that had trouble throwing the long ball with accuracy?
They are called drops, which means they were catchable balls. Patterson lacks concentration or has a vision problem.
