The Jets are going to have enough compensatory thirds next year anyway from losing FA's, next year's fourth-round pick 'maybe' turning into another third really doesn't excite me all that much.

Idzik better be doing everything he can to move up and get Milliner!!!

IMO Milliner is the ONLY slam dunk in this draft and he can fill the void left by Revis!

    13th overall + 3rd for 5th overall

Jets get 2013 1st-rd pick (13th overall) plus 4th-rd pick next year that becomes 3rd-rnder if Revis on roster 3rd day of 2014 league year.

    It's only 2 picks.

His contract is likely set up like Peyton Manning's

overtime the money becomes guaranteed, there's no way Revis signed that deal without some type of guarantee

Why on earth is Revis taking no guaranteed money coming off ACL surgery?

    1 - QB
    2- Raiders
    3- Al Davis

Nuff said. If he was alive, we might have gotten 3 1sts for Revis from him.

I think it was a 1 and a 2 actually, but that's the Raiders for you. Not every team is that moronic.

Revis is one of the few players in the NFL whose value and importance to a team is equivalent to that of a franchise QB.

unbelievable, we only get a 1st this year and a conditional pick that will only be as high as a 3rd in '14? what a joke, Idzik fails BIG TIME w/ this move. Typical Jets, it's why we never win.

I'm pretty disappointed, but like a couple of people have mentioned, it's a lot better than having an average year next season and letting him walk for nothing.

Confident he is healthy and can comeback and do just fine. Maybe overconfident.

Would you prefer for him to go to the Patriots as a free agent?

Not when they're off a tough injury and want a big amount of money.

QBs are worth more than any other position which is why SF got what they did for Smith.

Let's put this in perspective for a minute. We traded an overpriced CORNERBACK coming off an ACL(!!!) injury for a 1st and a 4th (conditional 3rd) and the other team knew full well we needed to trade him because there was no way in hell we could give him the 16mil per season he wanted.

It's not as terrible of a deal as you think......

Edit: oh, and he's out of the AFC

Compared to what the Pats got for an aging Seymour, what we got for an aging and injury prone Abraham, and the Chiefs got for Allen this does not look like a very good deal for us.

Could be worse, we could have lost him for nothing or been the team coughing up $16 mil per year.
