Seriously, why would the Bucs give Revis $15 Million off ACL surgery?

Revis will never be happy. 15 mil a year will appease him now, but lets say in 3 years he wins DPOY one year, he'll be asking for 17-19 mil a year. I don't know why he's like this, but he will never be happy.

Listen, the only way I'm down with this trade is IF we get two firsts. Here's why:

We trade a 1st for Revis...

then we get an extra first for our actual pick.

Getting only a first for Revis seems like such hogwash value. The man is worth at least two firsts. If it's a first and a third then we got screwed. That is all.

I vote for you for best avatar ever, like I tell my kids you never root for an opposing players injury ....except for Tom Brady, Cindy Crosby or any Miami Dolphin!:)

He is worth what the market say he is. Your max value is wishful thinking... Or a way to ensure you can bitch in the future.

I don't see who we draft solely determining if this is a good trade or not.if we get
1,3 and 5 and change that's a good trade. If the drafting is bad and we get busts, the drafting is bad but the trade still put us in a good spot moving forward.

Haha, thanks. Hopefully this year, I can get a picture of a Jets player doing it. Many, many pictures.

Because every NFL player has a right to be "me first, team later". The way these contracts are set up (without major guarantees) + shelf life of an average NFL player means that these guys need to get what they can, when they can.

I don't disagree that Revis has/will have plenty of money to live on for the rest of his life. However, if you were in a position to seek a raise every 3 years wouldn't you do it? This is his profession, his career.. he doesn't play to appease you, me, Rex, or anybody other than himself.

Disagree -- Revis was as good as gone, we were going to get one more season out of him and that was all. If he had 3 years left on his deal I would agree but not in this case.

Anything above and beyond the 13th pick is a bonus -- Noone was going to give the Jets 2 first round picks for a guy they could have signed as a FA in a year and is coming off the injury he had.

Part of the 'value' is offloading his (future) contract.

And like I tell everyone else. Last time I rooted when a player was injured, Bledsoe went down, and the Tom Brady era began.

Mark my words, this will be the greatest Jets decision in the teams history.

This is the turning point towards a Super Bowl, quote me if you want, within 5 years we will be holding the championship.

@RCummingsTBO: Bucs coach Greg Schiano is picking Darrelle Revis up at the Tampa International Jet Center right now

Don't let the door hit you on the way out!

Really, he's flying into a Jet Center?

Reminds me of when Sanchez flew into a Jet Guard
