How's this then..they trade him for the 13 and use that to draft Austin who completely schools him? Of course nobody is going to school him until we have a QB that can actually throw the ball accurately downfield.

@AdamSchefter: Breakthrough: Jets have granted permission for CB Darrelle Revis to visit Tampa Bay and undergo a physical with the Buccanners, per sources.

    YES! Here we go!

Yep....hopefully it gets done (the physical) today.

The deal itself must be made already or he wouldn't be getting the physical..hope it leaks.

its a bit sad for sure. best player that i have ever seen play for the jets... its been sad and disappointing to watch so many people turn on him because he wants to get paid and play hardball with them.

    My guess . 2013 1st,3rd and 6th , 2014 4th that could become a 2nd based on certain performance by Revis/TB.

Sad to see him go but this fall out was coming every 2-3 years...

Maybe but only if he is what he was before the injury and never goes down again..even then he won't be worth 15 mil a year.

Sure it's going to suck to see one of the most, if not the most talented New York Jet in the team's history get traded away… But I for one am excited that we are finally going to rebuild the right way. This is a necessary move and I commend John Idzik for having the balls to pull it off.

True, maybe it'll be more beneficial to the team in the long run but when a once in a generation player leaves your team it's sad nonetheless.

Hopefully the picks we get from this turn out to be fruitful.

Hopefully we get solid compensation for this. Regardless of compensation, I'll be pretty pissed of Revis signs with TB for way below what was 'rumored' which is the main reason we're trading him in the first place.

That's not going to happen. More realistically, I hope that Idzik has a trade down lined up for one of the first round picks.

Well looks like we might have two first rounders in this years draft. I can be happy about that. Will be interesting to see this long term deal Tampa and revis nail down to see te ballpark the jets were working with

I think if they try to force Tampa they will cave, but that would be to good to be true
