This team really has a problem keeping its mouth shut. Everybody has an opinion and they have this feral need to share it with the world. Witness Mark Sanchez. He of buttfumble fame sharing his Tebow opinion with the rest of the football world: From today's NYPost: From perhaps the sketchiest resume in all of NY Jet Qb history, we get this astute observation... Thanks Mark. Now I can get on with my day...I hope you all can as well..
Everything I read into that is that Sanshit wants out and the sooner the better..what better way than to really piss off the owner, GM and coach to make it happen sooner rather than later.
Accidentally, it'd mean he could double-dip, although I can't imagine anyone giving anything more then min.
This is the first time in...what 4 months, that someone on the team is talking? It's hardly a problem with the team keeping their mouths shut. I mean, he has little room to talk and no credibility to back it up, but he is correct. We sort of fanned the fire with ESPN and whatnot. Tannenbaum and Woody relished in the attention. It didn't work out, and that's why we are where we are now. The organization is going in a better direction, the SOJ era is over, Cman. It's ok to come out now
good for you mark, i think this is the first time he showed any sort of backbone. maybe his nuts finnaly dropped and we are going to see a new man out there. i can wish right?
It's not like he said something we all dont already know. The jets have been their own worst enemy the past 2 years. I hope to god they finally relized that the NY media grasps at straws 92% of the time and reports facts 8% of the time.
whose fault is that that he wilted under pressure when Tebow arrived? Bringing in Tebow was a bad idea but that should have motivated him to play better instead it made him play worse. Fuck Sanchez and whatever he has to say.
Yea their media strategy works perfect when you go to back to back afcg. But then you put a huge target on your back and when you become bad everyone thinks you are a joke. Even Dolphin and Bills fans try to make jokes which is a joke in itself.
I think he's looking for a 'friend', and sees the 'wronged' Tebow as that kind of person. But IMO they are polar opposites in character. Tebow is as tough as grannies titties and seems to take everything in his stride, Sanchez on the other hand is the proverbial whining 2 year old that's now reached the terrible two's. I can't see anyone dumb enough to take him off our hands this year, so we may here more crap from his yap.
Sanchez has been AWOL for months now and then he comes out with this ? My problem is not that he said it but that he has said squat and pretty much has hid since the end of the season. If had spoken from time to time I would be cool with it but that ain't the case,,,,I believe the last thing I heard from him was the post game pressed after week 16 .
Can someone show me what exactly you had a problem with Mark saying? Cimini had this quote that somehow got left out of the Post's rendition: "There's a bunch of situations for me, personally, I wish I would have played a little better at times, but that's part of playing this game and trying to develop your identity as an offense," he said. "And some of the injuries we sustained prevented us from doing that. "That's part of the game, too, so we really underachieved as a team." So... he's saying it how it really is? the Jets fueled the fire. He's also showing accountability. I agree with flajetfan when he says hopefully Mark's nuts have dropped. But, he's a nice kid and handled the Tebow situation with class. He's a terrible quarterback but nothing he said is wrong or distasteful or at the wrong time. The sensationalist NY media is conditioning you guys to make something out of nothing, their favorite tactic.
He is right on certain stuff but I am so tired of this guy I don't even wanna listen what he will say. Just release this Nacho and go with Garrard and McElroy Edit: Please don't pay attention to my sig. I lost a bet to nyjunc and I have to carry this sig for 2 weeks.
Just like I said in the current Rex thread....who cares what Mark Sanchez says anymore. One more year and hes gone. Hes an irrelevent voice at this point in time
