I sometimes forget how good the Dolphins Franchise has been over the years, from 1970 through 2003 they only had 2 seasons under .500...that's a 34 season span with only 2 losing seasons..that's a remarkable run.

that link was in addition to others I posted.

yep, he was hurt in October then had a good stretch of football in Nov and was awful in dec. the downfall would come in dec when he used the injury excuse but he was playing hurt in Oct/Nov too- he just didn't need the excuse b/c he was playing better at that time.

the winning machine known as the dolphins? the same team that was 8-8 in 1980? the team w/ david Woodley at QB? the team that hadn't won a playoff game since their last SB win in 1973. Yep, that's exactly the same as the Brady led Pats.

from 2001-2012 the Pats won the div every year except ONE when Brady was starting. Miami won just 2 div titles from 75-82

very consistent in the reg season, very poor in postseason when they made it especially after their last SB app in 1984.

Yawn, forgot to address that Mark plays in MUCH more passing friendly league, here's the clue. Todd wasn't a good QB when compared to his peers, but he was just a little under average when compared to his peers. Sanchez when compared to his peers, the only truly fair comparison, ranks at or near the bottom in every category.

No, todd wasn't a good QB. But when compared to their peers at the time Todd is clearly better than Sanchez.

Yep, but it's still a dynasty in terms if the AFC East and trying to reach the playoffs with them in the same division. They just don't have much of a Superbowl legacy, but then again neither do the Jets or most teams for that matter.

BTW love your argument that a team would take Sanchez if the Jets cut him, that doesn't say much for his ability does it? I mean teams were considering taking Jarmacus Russell who's been out of football for a couple years and truly sucked when he was a QB. Point is, and remains, if Sanchez were even 1/2 the QB you claim he was then a team like the Bucs, who are weak at QB and have a TON of free payroll space going in to the season, would leap at the chance of getting Sanchez for practically nothing along with Revis....the fact that they, a team that actually HAS to spend money this off season in order to meet tha 89% rule, balked says a lot.

The others you posted? You mean the 1 Cimini speculation piece you posted?

Show me something other than speculation that says he was hurt in October. Favre said he was sore, but fine.

All you have done is post 2 links which is nothing but speculation from Cimini and a Bengals blog. Lol!!

You can speculate as to when the injury occurred and speculate that it didn't affect his play all you want. It means nothing to me. I'll take the facts that he had a torn biceps and rotator cuff which required surgery to repair. I'll take his word that the injury affected his play the last 5 games of the season. It makes sense to me considering how well he played the next year when he was healthy.

Those things mean a lot more to me than some guy on message board with an obvious axe to grind claiming to know exactly when the injury took place and claiming to know that it didn't affect how he played.

You guys need to give up as junc never will..as I said a few pages back he spent two years saying Pennington was the greatest QB since Johnny U and given the chance he will tell you Sanchez is better than that.

Where do I begin? You cited 3 Northeast games. The previous post (from Testerverde) said "East Coast" (Eastern Time Zone) which can also include regular season games at Washington and Carolina, two teams that 'only' scored 24 and 27 points respectively against the Cards. The Washinton game where the 'Skins only scored 24 points on the Cardinals was the very week before the Jets (and HOF-bound QB Farve) dropped 54 on them, more than the Washington and Carolina games combined.

So saying the Cards were "thrashed repeatedly coming east" when they lost two of those games by 7 and 4 points kinds of puts your cherrypicking into focus.

As for your amusing "average fan, doesn't understand the game..I try to help them" comment, haha....er, ok junc, whatever you say.. Listen, I'm not the guy who's posted THIRTY THREE times during work hours the past two days in this thread alone with TWENTY posts in just today alone. That you're maybe down on your luck and jobless with oodles of free time on your hands does engender a sympathetic vibe in me since I find you an ok (if obsessive) dude as well as the fact that all of us retards here are "Jet sympatico." But sitting on a message board proclaiming to a world that really doesn't care that you possess uncommon insights and further, that we should buy it as if it's ordained knowledge is flat out silly. So git' off your high horse your highness.
That said, I think I understand this game having played it, but thank you anyway exaulted one. (smirk)

We'll find out about Mark in due time. Meanwhile, stop taking every single potshot or tweak directed at Sanchez as a personal affront.

Never said he wasn't, just said he was better than sanchez when factored against his peers.

why do people keep bringing up the 'buttfumble' like its not something that has happened and will continue to happen in football for a very long time?

just type football follies into youtube, youll get about a million similar or worse plays...

yup, so lucky they didnt bring up a play that ultimately could have happened to any nfl player at any given moment? shit happens
