New York Jets Schedule Thread

That all depends on which jersey the bucs will wear.

 

We could be 2-7 going into the bye. Yikes.

 

We could also be 7-2.

 

We could seriously do extremely well this season with a good draft.

Tampa sucks. Bills suck. Dolphins will choke and since we don't play them until the end of the season, that'll be when they are in a nose dive. Titans suck. Steelers are okay as are the Bengals. Ravens dropped a lot of their best players. Raiders suck. Panthers suck. Browns suck.

So that leaves us with the only tough opponents of: Patriots (x2), Falcons, and Saints.

With this schedule, 8-8 is easy. Could EASILY go 10-6 or even maybe 11-5. As long as they maintain their cool, this should be an easy year to make the playoffs.

 

I agree. I have a good feeling about this year. We won't be as bad as the media will like. Watch.

 

I appreciate the optimism of those saying we are making the playoffs...but have you seen our schedule and have you seen our roster? We are in a rebuild and will be plugging holes with rookies and cheap high upside low bottom free agents...it's a developmental year...I hate to be the party pooper.

 

Jets are wearing white for the home opener, hopefully Revis is as well

 

also tell us the winning lotto numbers so we can buy the Jets and fix this mess

anyway the Colts had a worse team than us and made the playoffs, Luck is great and all but that was a horrible football team

we can make the playoffs, the best part about having a tough schedule early is it forces us to play at a high level from the start so later in the season our team is ready to make that push

 

FWIW, Rex typically has pretty good years when he play against his brother.

 

You don't need to be psychic to understand reality. This team will be better on offense but not enough....it's a rebuild plain and simple...this team is headed in the right direction but this year is only the first step.

 

I also am one of those few who think the Jets might actually pull something and have a decent year.

I'm talking positive record. I'm talking playoffs. I'm talking Super Bowl!

No but seriously, I really do think the Jets have a good season. It would be much better to say after this draft but as of now, hoping that we have a good draft, I think we have a good year.

Havent you realized that if you have a franchise QB you are going to have a shot at the playoffs? We do not. Our QB is a liability, and certainly not someone that can elevate the untalented roster around him.

 

all it takes is one strong draft, no one seen us coming in 2009

at this point everything is a toss up, I'm not throwing away the season like everyone else, have some damn faith in your team

 

To mention ESPN thinks they have done us a favor by predicting us at 6-10 before the draft

Week 5 to Week 9 is brutal. Hopefully, Jets can pull off 3+ wins going into their bye.

 

Best case , we will be 4-5 at the bye. Tampa, Buffalo, Tennessee and Pittsburgh are the ones we can win if things go our way. Rest of the games before the BYE is brutal

 

Too early to talk about records at this time. Strong draft could really do wonders for us though going forward. At least all of the games are 1pm cept for 3 games, that's got me pumped!

 

So funny to see the range of opinions here with regard to the schedule.....

It will be interesting to see how they fare against the better teams during that October stretch.

A 2-6/1-7 start followed by a 5-3 finish may ignite the turnaround for 2014.

Kinda depends on how all in they go for defense and the QB spot.

But at this point 6-10 would be an accomplishment.
