So this is how I see Dion actually making it down to the Jets if it happens:

    1. KC - Luke Joeckel
    2. Jax - Eric Fisher
    3. Oak - Sharrif Floyd
    4. Phi - Geno Smith

The first key pick. A QB has to go in the top 8 for Jordan to drop to us. Jordan has to get by his college coach to put a bit of a whammy on the next few picks.

    5. Det - Dee Milliner
    6. Cle - Matt Barkley

Almost there. The Browns new GM isn't standing pat on a 30 year old sophomore.

    7. Ari - Lane Johnson
    8. Buf - Chance Warmack

And we're home free with Jordan sitting there on the 9 waiting for us.

I'd love this but I just can't see a brand new GM passing on a huge prospect like Dion Jordan just to reach like crazy for Barkley who could very well be there for the in the 2nd. Signing Kruger and the fact that Jax may try to grab Barkley early in the 2nd could push them to do it, which is encouraging but still unlikely.

    More likely:

    1. KC - Joekel
    2. Jax - Geno
    3. Oak - Floyd
    4. Phil - Star
    5. Detroit - Fisher
    6. Cleveland - Milliner
    7. Arizona - Johnson
    8. Bills - someone else

I saw a report saying the Jets are leaning towards Offense at the9 overall pick. I'd also be really surprised if Jordan was there at 9.

That was by Steiny, he's not the most reliable.

But I agree, I doubt he gets to 9.

I love the idea of taking Jordan but its a long shot. I think Geno to the Jags and Star to the Eagles is realistic and certainly offers a possibility to see Jordan last to 9.

    buffalo takes nassib.
i think this is plausible. star getting a clean bill of health up the odds for us to get jordan. its sill not great odds but they are better.

No, they will not take Nassib at 8. Not a chance.

Cooper is a possibility at that spot, possibly Ansah as well.

i know its a stretch, but he is gaining momentum and buffalo could reach if they don't think he will last to the 2nd and smith is gone.

we need something a little crazy to get jordan down to 9. this could be it

Cooper or Ansah is just more realistic. They love Nassib (supposedly) but not enough to risk losing out on a potential pro bowler for him. They have Kolb now as insurance as well as the likes of Manuel or Barkley to choose from at 41 (if he somehow isn't there, which he will be).

It'd be great, don't get me wrong, but it's not going to happen.

Looking at those picks I don't see Jordan getting past the Eagles, Lions or Browns. All 3 of those teams need a big defensive upgrade.

here's my reasoning. and like i said, we need something weird to happen.
no way they take ansah over jordan so they have to go offense to skip over jordan.
now, a guard at 8? its a reach, and since they are already reaching, why reach for a guard when you can reach for a qb they are already in love with?
if one hits you might be set at 1 position for the next 10 years. if the other hits, well, you just changed the direction of your franchise.
and also, its the bills, throw some logic out the window

Not impossible they go Ansah over Jordan, they run a base 4-3 defense, Ansah could very well be a better fit in that system over Jordan who will be better off in a 3-4 scheme.

And why reach for a guard? Well Cooper isnt some ordinary Guard, he is a pro bowler waiting to happen. You don't take chances that high in the draft, teams like the Titans, Jags, and Vikes have done so recently and have been burned by it. You HAVE to go with the best player at your pick that also fits a need, similar reasoning as to why the Jets shouldnt take a QB at 9.

I could absolutely see Ansah over Jordan. Ansah has more upside than any player in this draft most likely with his athleticism, and he shows flashes of absolute greatness. Jordan is a very good player, but for a 4-3 team, I could definitely see Ansah over Jordan.

If the Jets were a 4-3 team, I'd take Ansah in a heartbeat at 9.

And I see TCGF's scenario as the most plausible. Geno would have to go top 8, and another QB would certainly help.

Great scenarios, hope we hit the jackpot, but if we don't, happy to see that at 9 if we miss on Jordan we can still get a pro bowler guard, or Ansah, or a SS. It's shaping up nice for us one way or another.

I think the best chance of Jordan getting past the Eagles is them taking a QB to develop behind Vick. Foles isn't all that mobile so I could see the Eagles taking Geno Smith or alternately hoping that E.J. Manuel gets down to their 2nd rounder, which is iffy.

Lions are going to take either Fisher or Milliner depending on who is there. One of them will be there.

I agree on the Browns, which is why I stipulated a QB to them to spring Jordan. I don't think the Browns pass on Jordan if he's there unless Sharrif Floyd is there also. If they decided they had to have Barkley, then that's the way that Jordan gets by them.
