Dion Jordan or Jarvis Jones because it finally solves a pass rush need since Abraham was traded.

Predict the next "predict" thread. Just kidding ;)
Jarvis Jones is my prediction, and it would make me very happy.

    Who- Jonathan Cooper

Why- Fits best on the O-Line. The 1st way to help a QB is to give him max protection(Ferguson-Cooper-Mangold-Colon-Howard) look like a top 10 O-Line. The defense is fine right now and building up the O should be the priority for the most part in this draft. Our 1st 2 picks should be offense

I don't know why anyone would want Jones. Undersized. Unathletic. College production never transfers 1:1 to the NFL. He's got a spinal injury... how is he going to squat, deadlift, clean to the max? He's going to get tossed around in the NFL. He just doesn't project athletically at a position where you need to be a premium athlete. This isn't like middle line backer where you get protected by the linemen infront of you. I will be shocked if the Jets take him at 9

I think Dion Jordan slips to them and they pull the trigger

    Geno Smith

Why- because we need a QB and he could be a franchise player that we've lacked since Chad's 2002 season and Namath

I wish.... I think he'll be gone , but this is my #1 pick too.

IF Revis gets traded don't be surprised if we get his replacement in round one

Dee Milliner. I think Revis Will be traded, and we'll pick his replacement with our 9th pick, then go pass rusher or O-line with Tampa Bay's 13th.

Hopeful, but unlikely ----> Dion Jordan
More realistic ------> Jarvis Jones or Warmack

Why not? Its not as though it would be one pick is it. Also trading Revis helps our cap.

We are a world away from competing for the SB and theres no guarantee that Revis will start where he left off, although I think he will.

trading Revis hurts our cap actually

also wasting a 1st rounder on a corner when you have 3 good ones already is dumb, at this point might as well keep him if your plan is to get a new one via the draft who isn't even on his level

how are we a world away from competing for a SB, in 09/10 no one thought we had a shot, a good draft and improved offense put us right back in the hunt for a playoff spot and when that times comes we already seen how shit gets real for any team that plays the green and white

keep Revis, in this league you acquire Elite talent you dont give it away

I think everyone knows he's not getting 14/16M, give him 12/13M and keep it moving

This is a huge oxymoron . You want a franchise QB so you go with Geno Smith...just not the case by any means.

Assuming no trades are made & assuming Jets stay at #9: I think they're gonna go w/ Kenny Vaccaro from Texas. I'd prefer they trade back & pick him up but don't think they'll be able to find trade partner to trade down into teens.

#1 - Top tier OT (Fisher+Joeckel+Lane Johnson) will be gone.
#2 - Don't think Jets will use pick #9 on Guard.
#3 - Dion Jordan is gone, that leaves Jarvis Jones & Mingo @ OLB.
#4 - Don't think Jets will spend first rounder for the third year in a row on DL.
#5 - Only offensive players left to garner attention here are Austin & Patterson. If not Vaccaro, then these WR here would be my next guess.

    Mingo & Jarvis Jones:

Rex visited SMU on Mingo's Pro Day which makes me think he's not high on their list.

From what I've read, Jets still haven't had a private workout with Jarvis Jones. Odds of them drafting somebody they don't have private workout with @9 is zero. However, there's still some time before the draft so maybe some front 7 defensive prospects are coming in for visits. From my avatar, I'm obviously a Jarvis Jones fan but I don't think Jets will go with him.

    DaMontre Moore:
Somebody that would've been considered a good pickup months ago but his stock is dropping & it's unlikely he has any shot of cracking the top 10.

The Jets will also receive the 13 from the Bucs. With the 9 and the 13 they will select Jarvis Jones and Tavon Austin.
