Jordan is truly the most versatile player that would fit Rex's defense, it's unfortunate he wouldn't be available. Mingo, Ansah & Jones all have question marks and scheme issues for the Jets at #9. I think the Jets may surprise some people and look hard at Warmack & Cooper. Two players that are the surest bets to have long pro-bowl careers.
I'm with you 100%.Jordan is the only OLB worth a top 10 pick & it is doubtful he'll be there. Jets will be looking at hitting doubles not home runs in this draft. They'll be looking at sure things to plug holes. I see the guards,Star & Vaccaro as viable options.
I really like Vaccaro, the signing of Dawan yesterday should have no influence selecting him, although we can get a solid Safety later like DJ Swearinger , Jonathan Cyprien or Phillip Thomas. Passing up Star would be a mistake, if he fell to the Jets, he's would be clearly the BPA. The need for DL isn't a priority, you don't pass the BPA.
Eifert would be a nice addition to this team but only way I'd justify it in the first is trading into the bottom half of the round and picking up a few extra picks. Ertz in the second would make alot more sense. If we get the 13th from Tampa we really should use a first on each side of the ball. We can go after BPA at 9 which imo looks like it's going to be Jarvis Jones. Get this guy and Rex together and we might have the next Terrell Suggs. Throw in Tavon Austin at #13 and we'll have two rookies who should make a huge impact right away. You could go Warmack or Cooper but I see us going after the playmaker. While it would suck to lose Revis we're not looking too bad with this potential draft: 1a. Jarvis Jones 1b. Tavon Austin 2. Zach Ertz or Giovanni Bernard.
