jersey sales are irrelevant. all teams split the revenue from jersey sales equally.
as far as this "offer". the only way this works is if its this years first and sixth with the 3rd being upgradeable based on tampa's success

So that's the same gamble they'd be taking with Milliner. They'd be gambling "heavily" on Milliner with the potential payoff of an elite CB. It's still a smaller gamble than the same deal for Revis.

If the Bucs traded for Milliner, they could have used the 11 million they saved to sign the top two CBs in free agency. That would clearly make them better than just one top CB, right?

The more I think about it the more I think this is Idzik's thought process (just guessing):

    1. I trade him for the picks I want. Everyone's happy.

    2. No one is offering what I want... at that point I try to re-up with Revis and convince him that it's better to take 10 mill a year straight away rather than one year @ 6 mill + whatever he gets next year in FA, especially conisdering he'll be a year older and who knows if he might get injured again in 2013.

Three Bucs representatives go to media to whine about "Jets' public antics". Are they trying to become the Patriots of NFC South? Fuck those crybabies.

He also puts fannies in the seats.

Id agree on the pick seletion though...i

Its a very simple piece of Math. Revis was 15 overall. Now hes a pro bowler, and potnetial Hall of Fame player.

The upgrade to 13, plus the two others is worth the surer bet on him, than on the 13 pick.

Yes, my bad. Feinsod, Schwartz and Revis's BFF Geigergeiger are more likely than the Bucs.

you are 100% correct. never thought that would happen.

the deal is totally the best we are gonna do, as long as the first is 2013. plus, with the money we have allotted to take the cap hit this year, that means we can have a boat load of cap space to really rebuild next year.

I will take the Bucs 2nd and 4th this year as well as a one in 2014. 2013 is a deep draft where the Jets can add depth and starters with their own first, two seconds, and two 4ths can be used as trade up leverage to another possiable 2nd or 3rd. Love the depth in 2013!

Top end of 2014 is better but not as deep

So the Bucs are threatening us by not taking the deal? Don't they want Revis? They can go fuck themselves. This ain't a race.

So a team that will finish with 3-6 wins regardless of Revis signing or not will sell tickets if Revis signs? This is just not true.

So tired of Mevis and his "crew" affecting the team every year. I can't wait to see him gone so we can move on........I love what he brings on the field but the offseason drama makes me want to puke.......
