Danny Hurley has apparently told Rutgers he is not interested...

The question is where does Rutgers turn now?

The way I look at it there are a few local options...

Tim Cluess from Iona who as of yesterday was in negotiations to take the Hofstra (his alma mater) job but has now declined that job.

    Steve Pikiell from Stony Brook

    Will Brown from Albany

Seth Greenberg is a possibility, he's a decent coach although he won't get Rutgers to any amazing heights although for them the NIT would be a great season. He went to FDU and is from New York, has won everyplace he has been even if it's not earth shattering.

I don't know if they'll go afer Howland but that is exactly where they should go. Going into the Big 10 they'll have the budget to hire name coaches and Howland will certainly recruit the hell out of New York and NJ.

Webber made a mistake but that mistake was forced by Carolina who had him trapped and despite hearing over and over and over again that they had no TOs Webber panicked w/ the trap and called TO. The heels get credit for good defense. The heels were also up by 2 points at that time, I think people think Michigan was winning and the technical gave the Heels the game PLUS Webber got away w/ the most blatant travel ever seen(it makes Seth Curry's walks look legal) moments earlier after grabbing the rebound on the missed FT from Pat Sullivan.

There were awful calls at the end of both games, at least in the Mich-SU game they went both ways. There were a couple of doozies that allowed SU to cut that lead down and get back in late. I hate the triche charge call, in regular speed it looked like the right call but looking at the replay it was a block. I can't stand the way they interpret the block/charge calls in NCAA basketball and it all goes back to the acting job taught to the duke players which has spread flopping and acting throughout the Country.

I know the championship is tonight, but it looks like Rysheed Jordan is going to commit to SJU this week. He's a 5 star guard and a great get. I cannot wait till next season!

Dude that is great news...Thats fantastic. Thanks for the update.

Btw, dont you think because of the success of Moe Harkless and now Jakarr Sampson that we are slowly going to get more of these top notch guys?

I mean Moe is going to be the main man at Orlando in a year or two I feel.

The worst part is the other ACC teams roll with it and you get flop fests. I remember one UNC/DUKE game either this year or last year where it was literally trading flops and "charges" down the floor back and forth. It's terribly called and I'm not sure why.

If you undercut someone making their move, it's a block. If you are standing still and someone lowers their should into you or runs through you, it's a charge. And don't get me started on the "charge" after a player passes the ball.

This was funny about the ref in the LOU-WICH game.

Absolutely. His final 3 was UCLA, SJU, and Temple. UCLA was out once they fired Howland. If he wants to get the NBA it's clearly SJU over Temple.

I just hate how the refs constantly blow the call. If the player is set and the offensive player doesn't look and simply runs them over, then yeah, that's a charge. But on most of these, the offensive player makes his move towards a spot which is open. Then the defender reacts and slides into position when the offensive player is already committed. That's exactly what happened on the Triche play. Live I thought it was a blown call, and the replay confirmed it. Obviously changed the game in a huge way. Fouled out Triche undeservedly, gave Michigan the ball rather than sending Triche to the line.

The announcers were quick to praise the refs, and only after they saw two replays did they catch on.

Less than two minutes in, refs miss obviously goaltending call. Michigans shot hit the backbord then the LOU player swatted it. Wasn't even bang/bang.

Spike Albrecht, Trey Burke's backup has 17 points. Louisville has 21. Michigan minus Spike has 16.
