As hilarious is this post is, it's sadly true in every way. I only disagree about the best match part, but who cares, because they all sucked.
How I felt...Wrestling has literally set itself up to predictability nowadays. Nothing exciting and how lame is it that they continue to ride these old stars on and on...Its no longer cutting edge sports entertainment. I did consider Punk vs Taker the best because Punk is so good at what he does. Taker is so fucking old now haha
I am by no means a fan of Cena, but you realize that you just called a man who quit the company to film "Doom" the best wrestler of all time?
It probably would have been money better spent to go to the Hall of Fame induction. Anyways, Wrestlemania just catered to the predictability it has established itself in nowadays. In all honesty, Undertaker should have lost to Triple H that year he broke his back or some other body part. Cheap win that was I recall
Yeah, honestly it was bad. Punk-Taker clearly was the best match but wasnt nearly as good as the last two years. Thought the Rock-Cena match was better than last year to some extent. It was still pretty bad
I bet they bring back Austin just for entertainment purposes after Rock leaves. Just stun everybody. Also, they clearly dont want Cena to turn bad
I streamed the last 2 matches. Man, WM really has fallen off. One thing I always remembered was that WM almost always had some crazy unexpected controversial ending. This one did not have it. I almost expected Cena to turn and whoop Rock's ass at the end there, but no, they just shook hands and kissed each other's asses. WTF. I was rooting for Lesnar to end HHH's career, but I knew that wasn't happening. It was funny when Lesnar had that arm bar on HHH a bunch of fans were chanting "break his arm!". I agreed. I also agree that Cena should go heel. He was way cooler back in the thuganomics days. Also is it true that there was a wardrobe malfunction last night? My friend reported boobies, but I didn't turn it on until too late.
Dont know about that...But there was a malfunction with Triple H's entrace...Dude came out with foam or whipped cream on his body . WTF
Shitty show. Still had a good time though. Weather was great. Not cold at all. Taker's entrance was dope as all hell.
Didn't like this mania at all and I don't like where WWE is headed in recent years. Question for you guys and I think I might know the answer but: Is it a complete foregone conclusion that Taker's "streak" will never end? Will they ever have him lose? If not- than what is the point in dolling out that geriatric against another sacrificial lamb year after year? I don't think the "streak" is cool anymore and I think most WWE fans would agree with me. IMO- WWE needs to get back to having more originality and it needs to worry less about being "family-friendly" That's why Cena is pushed, he's popular with the little kids. But kids are going to love wrestling regardless of who's on top. They need to cater to adults and loyal fans by having guys that are controversial, original, and/or push the limits a little. We never see a modern day Rock, a modern day Jericho, a modern day Steve Austin, etc... with the way they are gearing things now a days.
Bring back Austin and have him end the streak. I'd watch that...WWE has no one they will bring to break the streak. The outcry if Cena did it would be hilarious. I think Taker retires with the streak...Also Undertaker fights like twice a year now and he probably just is brought on to keep the streak alive. Its ridiculous now.
Yeah, I don't get how you can keep a streak like that going, when the guy never wrestles anymore. If anybody beats Taker's streak, it should be a young up and comer, not somebody like Austin, who's halfway into the retirement home, himself. They could use Taker's streak to put over somebody that could be the next face of the franchise. It's too late for Cena or Orton, I kind of figured one of them would have done it 3 or 4 years ago. Problem with WWE is they repeat the same gimmicks over and over, and that's why I stopped watching like 4 years ago. I don't think anything will ever beat the attitude era. How is Paul Heyman back with Lesnar? Like you seriously can't think of anything better than that? Shocker! Shawn Michaels is still hanging out in HHH's corner. That's like so original! AND WHAT THE FUCK IS DONALD TRUMP DOING IN THE WWE HALL OF FAME??? That pissed me off more than anything else. Dude hasn't done shit for wrestling... what he let McMahon job to him and get his hair shaved? Need any further proof that WWE is a joke?
