Huge win. This team is turning out to be a special one. IF we make it to the Eastern Fianls, we might give some headache to Heat. Go Knicks.

IF we make it there, this is the way I look at it:

1)Melo is going to get you one game. He did it last year without Lin, Shump, Baron Davis. He did it with Bibby playing big minutes and Amare playing with one hand and Chandler getting the flu. We are clearly better now.

2)Our 3 point shooting is going to get us 1. It's how we beat Miami in Miami without Melo. It's how we win a ton of games.

    3) We need some good luck obviously. A brain cramp from Lebron, Wade forcing things, Heat being cold from corner 3s. That's 3 games let's say.

    4) If you win 3 games, and you are in a 7 game series, the 7th game is up for grabs. MIA was down 3-2 to BOS and 2-1 to IND. They didn't cruise last year through the playoffs. GRanted Bosh was hurt for IND.

The thing is we need to get to the conference finals. I am nervous before then because well the last two playoffs this happened:
-Amare hurt his back in pregame
    -Chauncy Billups gets hurt leaving
-Jeremy Lin never saw the playoffs
-Iman gets hurt, out for year.
    -Baron, out for the year
    -Amare, hurt his hand

Because of all of that we had Toney Douglas, Jared Jeffries, and Mike Bibby playing MAJOR playoff minutes.

DP..I agree with your points except you left out a huge one. JR Smith. He can be wild...although not lately but come playoff time..when defenses are at their best, you need a guy that can make a tough shot with little or no time left on the shot clock and this guy, right now, is the difference.

He won this game. While all the attention is on C.A. and his run, you look at some of these wins and they all have one thing in common lately. C.A. dishing in the 4th quarter and J.R. making tough..TOUGH shots late.

While he will lose one game in a series late he will probably win 2...at least.

I cant believe Im saying this but right now he is just as important as C.A. in the 4th quarter of big games.

There is little way, if anything were to happen to him, that we would have a chance at beating the big boys because he can create late.

He put this game away today.

Good call. I kind of glossed over him by throwing him into the get hot from 3 point fire category.

I think we are at the point where any injury right now ruins us. We have a rotation set with Pablo, Felton, Shump, Melo, Chandler followed by Kidd, Smith, Copeland, Novak, KMart. That's 10 guys right there. That's actually a solid playoff rotation except maybe throw in Sheed as a big instead of Cope or Novak if we run into IND. Could even use Sheed in the post, because he's still got it there.

The more I look at this winning streak and it together, the more I hope Amare doesn't come back and just uses the offseason to get ready for next year. I mean Woodson had Melo playing 37 minutes only compared to Durant's 45! He has a rotation down and he even trusted his team because he yanked JR in the first for bad defense!

I mean 50 wins, wow. BKN doesn't play tonight and no games tomorrow. We can't clinch the Atlantic until Tuesday

That was a great game! Easily the best win of the year.

I'm loving the way the playoff bracket is shaping up. Right now, as things stand we avoid the Nets, Heat and Bulls until the conference finals. This is good because we always struggle with the Bulls, the Heat are the Heat, and we split the series with the Nets. They have a upset potential. I'm not as much worried about Boston, Atlanta or Indy, although Indy could very well give us a run for our money. Out of all of em, the Bulls scare me the most.

I dont care if we had the Bulls, Nets, Boston, Indy, Miami who ever lets see what we are made of and take the path of resistance. If we win and go to the Championship game without facing a valid opponent you know we wont hear the end of it

I got this wrong in trivia

Which NBA player took over the No. 1 spot on the league's jersey sales list Tuesday?

    LeBron James
    Jeremy Lin
    Carmelo Anthony
    Kevin Durant

    Next Question

    info
This puts Melo past MVP LeBron James and becoming the first Knicks player at the top since the first list was released in 2001-02.

Part of that is people liking the "New York" brand. I have never been able to make myself walk out of the house wearing a basketball jersey. It just looks weird. Not that a football or hockey jersey doesn't look weird, but it's a lot more passable style wise

I can't do jerseys in general so I do the T shirt ones. But yeah basketball is one of the least wearable I feel. Hockey isn't too bad, just a big sweater kind of

I think baseball is most wearable. It's not made to be worn over pads and it's more like a button down shirt

Kenyon Martin - sprained left ankle. X-rays negative.

We should be good. KNEE would have been a LOT worse for Kmart.
Hopefully he can rice it up and be good to go come playoff time

Grab the Atlantic Division title for the first time since 1994.

Magic number for the 2 seed over IND is 3 games, so a combination of 3 Knicks wins or Pacers losses.

Reports say Amare has been running on the treadmill working out the knee and Sheed has been putting up shots in practice but Sheed has not participated in any drills or such
