I thought the Canucks game was his best ever but this was close...new guys continue to impress as does Zucc
I was at the bar chatting with someone during the game and I bet him Stepan would score the first goal of the game. Go me.
Can we add a little negativityto the convo here while we make our surge? Karl Hagelin has 1 goalin the last 19 games. He has scored in 7 games this year out of the 38 hes played in. he shows zero natural scoring ability and never has on any level. He was a 6th round draft pick. There is absolutly no reason to believe this guy will be anything more than he is at this point. Hes a good penalty killer. That is the only thing he brings to this team. So, is it fair to say he gets WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY too much ice time? He is stealing money from the Rangers night in and night out. MR and Hackett will probably both post some nonsensical shit as reaction to this. BUt can anyone else please explain tome what the deal with this guy is? Mind you this is the same guy who score 1 goal in our last 30 games or so last year.
I always notice Hagelin when he's on the ice. He's a great PK guy, he's defensively responsible, he has a career +25 plus-minus, he's a good skater and he's not afraid to hit people. I wish he had more scoring skill yes, but Hags is a valuable member to the team and only 24 years old.
He's one of the best possession players in the league whose faced a very high quality of competition. He's Dan Cleary, basically, and a very valuable member to any team he's on. Boyle's stone hands has robbed him and Brassard of some points recently.
On the subject of Brassard, that guy is incredibly gifted with the puck. I'm excited that we're gonna have him and Steps going forward as our centers. Hopefully the artist formally known as Brad Richards has finally figured his shit out too, he's looked great the past two games. I freaking love Clowe, he's just an all-round beastly player that I hope we lock up for the near future.
Too much time? He's averaged less than 13:30 a game past five games. He's not out there to get goals.
I understand Jonnys point but Hags is a game changer, he cant finish but he is a threat everytime hes on the ice, at this level speed kills
Clowe- tough but skilled Brassard- great passer and abrasive Moore- speed and skilled and huge Dorsett- nutjob, check finisher Whats not to love about these guys, reminding me of Noonan, Matteau, Anderson...etc
