Nice thought, Cman. Everyone said that Monroe and Frazier couldn't play together, but as you said they proved them wrong. That team was the smartest one I've ever seen, as of course players like (Rhodes Scholar and future Senator) Bradley, (former coach and future GM) DeBusschere, (future coach and GM) Reed, (future coach) Jackson, (future educator and memory expert) Lucas, (future Ph.D.) Barnett, and the always erudite Frazier demonstrate. And having 5 players who were named among the top 50 players of the first 50 years of the NBA as well as a coach who was named among the top 10 coaches says something about the talent level. Imagine the scoring records that would have been set with players like Bradley, DeBusschere, and Lucas if there had been 3-point baskets back then? For them a 22 footer was like a layup.
definitely worked out better for the magic, trading dwight Orlando wound up winning the trade. Lakers lost, and Philly lost badly. They traded valuable commodities and got absolutely nothing. Trade couldn't be any worse for them.
IND lost tonight ,so we are 2 games up on them and 3 up in the loss column. Boston in the 7 spot is 2 games up on MIL and 2 back of ATL. I wouldn't mind playing Boston, but I would be more comfortable not facing them. It sounds like KMART won't be playing tomorrow either. So Novak at center!
Indy loss is big. While its setting us up for a match up with Boston...getting a bit more separation from Indy late will at least allow perhaps a couple games of rest which this team could really really use. They have been going all out for awhile now. With Indiana the 3rd to last game then Charlotte and Atlanta, would love to have it wrapped up for the Indiana game.
I believe the magic number for the 2 seed is 5 total NYK wins or IND losses. And absolutely agree rest would be good. We Tyson and Kmart to be full strength heading into the playoffs
I hope we avoid Boston. Not that I am scared of them, but because that series will make us tired. I hope Boston catches up Atlanta but doubt it.
Shump, Melo, and Prigs all have 2 fouls in the 1st quarter. With KMART officially out, we have no depth if we get into more foul trouble. After OKC shot 20 more FTs than us at MSG can't wait to see how many more they shoot in OKC.
Novak somehow makes the impossible 3s over players, but give him space and he misses. He shot a 3 rainbow over Ibaka closing out on him. Melo has 4 after 1. Durant has 3. So yeahhh
Also constant doubling on KD has led to some easy looks for his teammates but also some rushed shots and TO from OKC
If Copeland can play like this offensively without being too bad defensively, really strengthens our bench.
No turnovers. 2 in the first half, but 2 quick ones here in the third. Pablo has to get under control. Also OKC doesn't have a post player who can burn a small lineup. Durant/Ibaka love driving/jumpers. Westbrook might have a post game but he always fades away baseline with it.
This is the 3rd time Hubie has called out the refs and all 3 times the Knicks were the losers on the call or missed call
