They could, but they can look guard later on as well. Dynamic weapons are few and far between in this draft.

Jarvis Jones .... you could tell from my avatar that I'm happy with this pick. Hopefully, he makes it to the Jets on draft day also.

I couldnt resist. I was thinking about another player at a similar position but that certain player would have to make a transition, Jarvis doesnt.

With the Jets playing multiple schemes (4-3, 3-4, 46, etc) I think Jarvis has the ability to fit in all of them. While many are putting him in that 4-3 OLB slot, I still see him being a very capable 3-4 OLB. Rex can use him in a Von Miller roll or a DeMarcus Ware role, that versatility as well as overall pass rushing skills are just too hard to pass up.

Now he'll need to improve against the run and become a bit more athletic but thats something I'm willing to deal with.

I wanted to go in a different direction, but at the same time the Jets cant get cute. Thus, I have to be as realistic as possible.

I personally would have gone with another player, but can't hate on jones. We'd just have to hope the poor weight room habits become a thing of the past.

He seems to have his head on straight. To me, I don't see why he can't adjust to an NFL weight training program. The kid seems like he wants to be a star in the league, Rex can put him in that position.

I agree, it's all about the desire. Reports before his pro day is that he would have a poor workout because he was not much of a weight room guy. Those came true big time. He can become a dominant player if he puts the work in.

Great pick for the titans. He's a top 3 player but fell a bit.

Jones is probably BPA at a position of need, very solid pick. Out of the OLB's left, he'd definitely be my choice. If that certain QB fell like he is (no names), the Jets better think long and hard over it. Very interested to see what happens for the rest of the draft for the Jets.

The Dolphins are looking to make a splash this year and I'm not willing to reach that far for an OT.

Good luck trying to handle Ansah and Wake.

and now that he's been taken. Trust me, I really really wanted to take Ansah for the Jets but he's a better fit as a 4-3 DE than a convert OLB (not to say he cant make the transition eventually).

Luck, thats all it was! haha. But seriously, great pick for the Titans. They clearly luck out and get the definition of a "steal". Floyd should finally give them a legit DT.

Almost took Ansah for the Lions at 5 but decided they needed a LT slightly more than a DE. I think that's a really tough decision for them though if it comes down to him vs. Fisher.

Fisher is the safer pick and has just as much potential. Theyre so thin at LT and there are plenty of solid DE's left to choose later on in this draft. I think you made the correct choice.

Bucs still need some difference makers. Martin, Jackson & Austin are a nice group of skill players.
