I believe the Jets trade Revis to Tampa for a 2013 2nd and 6th, and a 2014 first.

Pass-rusher or slot WR? I'll go with Jarvis Jones at the 9, not Austin

He's not a slot receiver. He can play all over the field, and even if he is a slot receiver, this is a different NFL.

He doesn't have the size to play on the outside. I like Austin, but if Jarvis Jones is on the board, you have to take him. Best pass-rusher in the draft - that easily has a higher priority over a slot WR that can return kicks and be dynamic.

No way in hell you take Austin over the other options at 9.

I have us taking Austin if we have the #13 pick from TB and we get a pass rusher at 9. I would not take him at 9 without anything else in the first round

Very plausible top 8. Not sure what the Jets would do at 9 unless a trade down opportunity presented itself. If that happens they trade down.

I would not be surprised for offers to materialize when Jones dropped to the 9. There will be several teams with him on top of their boards going in.

With all due respect, I'm glad your not our GM, there are a lot of better players than Austin that the Jets can grab at #9.

I'd go w/ Jarvis Jones. It would be sweet if Arizona went for Warmack & left Lane Johnson on the board for the Jets.

Jets can pick up Lane Johnson & have an amazing stud OL. Or they can choose to trade down. There are gonna be plenty of teams interested in the last guy who looks ready to step in & start @ LT.

  10. Which may work to his advantage in the NFL. When you are that quick & fast in space being short can make it harder for defenders to identify behind all the bodies presnap.

I wouldn't be too wrapped up with his size. For one..he's so dynamic that if you get 12 games out of him you'll take it secondly if he's 3 inches taller & has 10 lbs more of mass he likely goes top 3.

Would be very happy w/ Austin at 9 & am shocked other don't feel the same. This is an offensive skill driven league. It's alot easier to push forward a franchise w/ dynamic skill than just plugging holes along the trenches.

Take away Harvins bullshit, with what he accomplishes on the field every team in the league would take him. Looking at Austin I see him as a clone of Harvin, imagine getting Austin in the first and a guy like Moore or Warner or going rb with Gio in the second. I think everyone would be freakin thrilled.

Been saying the same thing. I couldn't agree more that with the league being all about offense now and needing big time playmakers, Austin is just what the Jets need. Some people get too caught up in the talk about building on the lines(where we're actually pretty solid and can draft another in 2nd/3rd) and forget that we need guys who can make plays and score TD's. Some may think Austin is a fringe pick but I actually think he's the 3rd best player available for what this team needs at 9, behind only Jones and Jordan.

I would literally take the gas pipe if the Jets take a WR at #9 when they are in big need of a pass rusher. That's is not the team's urgent need. And, as I have mentioned , they really do need a big DT to improve their run defense on 3rd and short. They'll have a full season of Edwards/Holmes tandem to help Mark out so I think if they do get a wide out - probably in the 2nd/3rd round.

I just can't see him being anything more than an elite slot reciever. That would be great but it's clearly not a need for this team since Kerley has been pretty successful in an otherwise atrocious offense. Also, Austin would never be a red-zone threat b/c he can't jump for the ball due to his size.

Darren Sproles? He's a huge threat as a safety valve dump off option every time Drew Brees gets into the red zone. Austin can be used in the same role. He's more than a slot receiver.

The Bills do make strange picks in the top 10 now and then. That's one of the reasons they get so many of them.

The Bills have 5 top 10 picks since 2002 and have drafted 11th two times also.
