I'm actually very optimistic about this trade. We traded an under-performing (and expensive!) malcontent and got back two of the three things we were missing:

-A true 3rd line center that is very good on the PP
-A tough, checking line forward (when he gets back)

Who knows about Moore, if he lives up to his potential we may not need to resign Del Zotto down the road.

Clowe is also a freakin warrior, I love him already. It's like if you made a hybrid of Callahan and Nash, that's Clowe. Big and strong, can dangle but also spits nails.

Nash-Stepan-Clowe? Thats an IMPOSING line if I've ever seen one.

I think its also worth noting that we no longer have to start Miller and Kreider due to a lack of depth. We can now start them when/if they deserve to start. Down the road, I think that will be great for their overall development.

To be honest, Im not sure what he's getting paid. So fill me in there please.

But yes, Im 100% behind MDZ. And how you could not be is mind-boggling to me. I guess you havent been actually watching the games the last month?

instead of medically numbing myself as i have been before all ranger games
this year, especially for pain, i refrained from twisting a huge fatty last night, and i thought my vision and senses were all shut down. i'm still questioning if that happened last night at all. i might have to stop twisting for a while. it might kill me as the "J" in my screen name is pretty fuckin' obvious to what it means, but i'll find a way to deal if it means the boys will start winning.

Honestly, you lot are like hormonal teenage girls. One day you hate everyone and it's all terrible and everything sucks and fuck the world, then a decent trade and a win against a team who are reeling from the loss of their best player and just got done 4-1 at home by the really rather shitty Sabres, and all of a sudden you're the best team in the league.

I can't believe I'm about to say this, but Jonny is the most rational one of you all. That should concern you.

youve mentioned where your seats are. You probably cant see a thing. Ham n egger seats dont give you much perspective of what is actually going on during the game. Just sayin

first of all, you're on a New york sports team forum, posting in a thread about one of our hockey teams, so is this like your first day here or something? This thread encapsualtes the NY sports fan to the t.

Seconldy, sorry, but I know self praise is none at all, but have to put myself up there as one of the most reasonable posters in this thread........I've said since about game 10-12 that we would be fighiting for the 8th seed throughout the season.....I also recently stated before the Ottawa game that the Rangers would need 6 points in the games v Ottawa, Mtl, Winnipeg and the home and home v the Pens.........or they were done...i stand by that, as they are still alive for the 6 if the beat the Pens tomorrow. Tie or lose and watch the Isles pull away and potentially Devs and Rangers on the outside looking in at season's end.

nice trades, it was time for Gabby to go...betcha he heats up stretch for Columbus, he was finally starting to play with a little fire.

oh and a 6-1 win against anyone in the league, let alone the Pens is impressive by the way.

Anyone saying we need to get rid of MDZ is out of their mind. He's been having a solid season. He's not out there to score a ton of points. I'm enjoying his +7 tbh.
