Yeah I don't understand why nobody talks about Okafor. To me he's got fewer questions than any other pass rusher.

I've been an Okafor fan for the Jets to draft by trading down for a while now. But I'm not really sure if for OLB or DE.

Started watching Okafor more & he is looking pretty good. I'm checking out mocks & see him fluctuating between late first & late second.

The more I look at these late first rounders & early 2nd round prospects, the more I'm hoping Jets do a trade back. I've got doubts any of these teams are eager to trade up though. Niners, Rams, Vikings, Bengals have multiple picks in first two rounds. I'm sure everybody is talking to them.

My biggest problem with Oakfor is he really seems to never jump off the snap. That initial burst of quickness or power is not there, or at least not to the level where you think he can become a great edge rusher at the next level. He is a good player, but more of a complimentary piece to me.

So based on this information Moore is the player to select with the #9 pick, it's only what most guys on this board have been saying so far.

Stay away from Jordan, his numbers show he did it against weak competition and even then he has no inside moves.

The reason people love Dion Jordan is because of his versatility. He is the best coverage linebacker in the class, play the run well, and has the ability to rush the passer from the outside.

With that said, I've been a huge Okafor fan for a while, it surprises me that he has not been talked about as much.

This is what the site said about Moore:

"Damontre Moore’s number is disappointing. On average it took him 4.51 seconds to get to the QB and 44.4% of his sacks were from coverage. For a pass-rushing specialist, he wasn’t near the numbers of any other prospects."

I don't see how that makes him our pick at #9.

Am I wrong in being most impressed with Carradine's numbers? If we traded Revis for #13 he might be a nice pick there.

Please dont paste arguments that are one sided to prove a point, i read the whole article and these comments are what makes me think that he would be the right pick for us.

Aside from Ansah, Moore tallied his sacks against the toughest teams. With sacks against Alabama, LSU, and Mississippi State – Moore beat a difficult assortment of O-lines for his sacks.

Damontre Moore had a wide variety of ways to get to the QB, the majority of his sacks came off going to the inside, but he also used bull and outside rushes to the tune of 22% and 44% respectively. Whether this variety was a detriment to his speed as noted above or he used these moves because he didn’t have a quick outside rush, the rush flexibility is interesting.
