http://www.ganggreennation.com/2013/3/29/4162798/new-york-jets-quarterback-carousel-turning-in-nfl I wouldn't mind this at all!!
I hope not. Hhorrible attitude and an interception machine. I'd take him for a 4 mil salary tho... Also, how credible is that source??
Here are his career stats: 62.5 Completion % 29,465 Yards 189 TD's 130 INT's 86.2 Rating I will take this any day until we get our guy in the draft.
In 2012 he played 15 games and threw for 4,018 yards / 22 TD / 14 INT / 61.1 Completion % / 85.3 Rating. That's terrible?
Palmer's QB merit is irrelevant in this case. If reports are right, he is looking to be on a winning team, even in a backup role. If this is true, Jets are out of the picture. http://m.nfl.com/news/0ap1000000154832/
This....The Raiders were asking him to reduce his salary to around $10million and he wouldn't do it so they would be forced to release him. There is no way, unless Rex/Idzik pull off a vulcan mind trick, are going to get him to come to us. Way too many holes on offense right now. Arizona would be a likely landing spot. He has Larry F. to throw to down there. All we have is Holmes and Holmes couldn't carry L.F.'s jock. Now, would I mind? Not at all. Palmer would be far and away better than what we have. Don't buy into all the bull crap about him not being good enough. That's a load of bull crap is you look past the negative hype etc... No, I do not see this happening. Wouldn't be shocked if it did...but still don't see it happening.
Unless we draft a QB this draft and plan to have Palmer just be a stop gap while the QB learns and develops, Id rather just play Gerrard or even McElroy. Palmer is a decent QB and better than what we have, and sadly that may be a problem when considering the long term future of this team. With a solid defense in place, he could probably win us 7 or 8 games.... You know, enough to push us out of a chance to draft a franchise QB. Drafting a guy like Nassib, Manuel or Glennon in the 2nd or 3rd and then having Palmer play while they develop wouldnt be a bad idea. Signing Palmer and trying to make next season into more than a rebuild year and year to set yourself up to drafting a future QB (if you dont this year), could be a bad idea.
Of course the the Jets will pursue. I wouldn't read anything into it until Palmer shows interest in the Jets.
Why are we even thinking about this, let Garrard Sanchez battle out and draft a rookie in the 4th round and let them compete the hell with Palmer,Kolb,Fitzpatrick and those type of guys
Yes, we're spoiled by outstanding QB play. You think 52 turnovers in 2 seasons is easy? Not easy my man, not easy at all...
I have mixed feelings about this. I want to read what others say first. I mean, the Raiders were very bad last season. I'm not sure why, I don't follow them, but I want to see other people's opinion of him.
