They're worried about legal ramifications of overhangs that can collapse. Ironically, the overhangs at Giants Stadium were built like a brick shithouse. I sat under them for many decades and know a thing or two about construction, and believe me, the amount of steel reinforcement they had up there will never be duplicated again. God damned shame to tear that building down. Somebody should be shot in front of a firing squad in Times Square on New Year's Eve.
I don't know. The upper deck seats look like shit to me, just like our stadium. Pancaked out and way too high. You need a Hubble Space Telescope. They're building these monstrosities and tearing down perfectly good football-sightline stadiums. Line them all up in front of a firing squad.
that looks every bit like our stadium. they havent put the field level seats yet the orange wall is going to be the wall to the field that is fucking far from the upper deck
Yeah, it looks pretty far to me and the people in the work pit look like ants. It's hard to tell anything from photos, too. This looks like a wide angle lens, so who knows whatit would be like in person. But from where this picture was taken, I sure as hell would want no part of those seats. Another ridiculous mistake. Line them all up and give them their last rights.
but thats all the same stadium. and how metlife is suppose to look. giants and jets paid for it to look like that. the little led lights on the stadium dont work. thats why theh have the spot lights shining upward on the side of the building. pathetic waste of $$$$
Those lights will be working for the Superbowl but you won't be able to see them because of the blinding blizzard conditions.
Junc, look at the 3 guys standing in a line in the EZ on this side of the field. See how big they are? Now picture them standing at the other end. Hubble Space Telescope.
no it doesn't. those cranes to the left of the field will be the lower level wall. then 50 feet from there will be the sidelines. i can almost guarantee u all these new stadiums will be built to have the same upper deck height
Actually, our field looks a slight bit closer in that upper photo (taken from the back row, UD) as compared to the one being built (also taken from the back row, UD). And here's a very good example of how the field appears closer to the camera than it is in real life. In real life, go up where this guy was standing who took this photo of our stadium and you're going to pass out from lack of oxygen and say to yourself, WTF?
They are very tiny men though:smile: maybe it isn't as it appeared to me. That's disappointing, I hate how they keep pushing these stadiums higher and higher
