Hope everything goes well and we can lock him up for a couple years on the cheap.

He WAS a very good player. It's not like the Jaguars had 2 All-Pros back there... he got cut for a reason.

That said he did play well under Rex and I think he would be a worthwile signing so good for us if we can sign him to a deal in the near future.

If we get him cheap, I love this signing. If definitely helps that Landry is his brother since, IMO, the Jets treated Landry really well and he told his brother that.

I hope we sign him. I feel good about it, because he knows Thurman and Rex and Laron left on good terms.

I hope they do sign him. I remember when the Jets signed LaRon last year, and he came with question marks due to his injury history with the Redskins. Thanks to Rex, LaRon got to enjoy a career resurrection. It's too bad they had to let LaRon go due to money. Hopefully Rex will resurrect Dawan's career

Is Dawan a big hitter like his brother? If not, does he at least have better coverage skills?

He's a huge hitter. Search his highlight reel on YouTube. Guy can lay the wood. It seems to run in the family lol

Just a reminder, that $13M is really like $7M that they can spend since they have to allocate about $6M for the draft

He's a solid player and would be a nice addition. Plays the run pretty well, not the greatest cover safety but he would be a nice enforcer back there like his brother was.

He was actually a good player for the Jags right with Dwight Lowery...it was their CBs that were terrible for the most part.

Landry was good...just not 5+ million good which he would have gotten if he stood on their roster. That was why he got cut.........same with Laurent Robinson, only concussions got the best of him in his lone year as a Jag(Robinson should have never got that deal though).

I am all for this signing btw.....

Do it up, we need to bring someone in, would most likely be an economic price and he's familiar with the coverage shells.

FWIW Bell was very good last year. Must get younger at the position.
