Duke winning pretty handily despite a lot of their players being in foul trouble throughout the game. Plumlee and Kelly have had limited minutes (4 fouls apiece) and Hairston fouled out.

Creighton the #1 shooting team in the country.

    50.6% FG, 42.2% 3FG

They averaged making about 8.7 3s a game.

    Tonight, 14/45 (31.1%) and 1/12 for 3.

    Plumlee just fouled out.

<~~98.6% and 1st place on TGG.

It comes down to 2 teams for me. Michigan in the Final 4. Miami in the Final 2.

I did hit 100% of the Midwest region. West region crippled me.

It's been a crazy tourney so far as we kind of expected, should be a fun weekend coming up.

I'm glad Ole Miss and that tool lost. Such a shame that the story isn't a good run by ole miss but that clown Henderson.

Yes that is the story now. Thankfully. I'm very happy for LaSalle, good school and program. They actually got a good shot at getting to the elite 8!

The Henderson kid just flipped the double-bird at the crowd at the end of the game and it's getting a lot of play. If it was just that I wouldn't have too much problem with him, but that coupled with being a massive tool who doesn't shut his mouth kind of irritated me.

Honestly, most final fours I saw were reasonable. Wide open.

Does anyone else feel like Florida Gulf Coast pulled off upsets by playing better, not being lucky? Watching them play, I didn't feel like they got lucky against GTown or SDSU, they truely looked like a better team

Especially when you consider that Iowa State got screwed (again) by the officials. Seems like the 3rd time this season they got it. Don't know if Iowa State wins and they had a chance to grab the rebound but that offensive foul was ridiculous. Is it just me or are all the close games being decided by one bad call?

Creighton almost losses to Cinci because of an "elbow"
Davidson looses because their player wasn't fouled hard enough (of course think of the player safety)
Miami gets an unreal break on a non reviewable call (yet they can spend 20 minutes reviewing a hard foul for player safety)
Iowa State has a horrific call go against them which would have had them in control with under a minute
There is another I am thinking of too that I'm forgetting

Speaking of officiating I see Junc slamming the refs in the KU/Carolina game but did anybody happen to catch the ratfaces and Creighton? Dook was in the bonus in the 2nd half before the 1st TV timeout. I don't think I've ever seen the officials slam the door on a team in a really close game so quickly out of the gate.

UCLA fans might be the most delusional fans on the planet, they are still living in the the late 60's and early 70's. Outside of one national title in 1995 (which came in large part because the NCAA screwed Tark and UNLV) UCLA hasn't been relevant at any other time other than Howland's 3 FFs. They've been good but far from a national power. The reason I have gotten is that these McDonald's AA kids don't like that he makes them play defense. They don't liek how hard he works them in practice so they fight him and each other. I can't think of a program the last decade who has put more NBA ready players into the NBA than UCLA. They should be thanking him and instead they get him fired.

They have been better, I don't think it's a fluke. They are a pretty good team. They have good athletes and they have dictated the pace. It also doesn't hurt that they have played teams that can't score but I do think they get rocked by Florida. Too many distractions now (apparently Enfield's house is already on the market) and they won't sneak up on the Gators who unlike SDSU will have had time to prepare for them. I could almost guarantee you the 1st time all season that Steve Fisher saw these guys play was after the Oklahoma game. Before your 1st game you prep for 3 teams, your opponent and the two possible opponents if you win. My guess is SDSU spent about 5 minutes on FGCU and everything else on Oklahoma (whom they owned the coach for the last 7 years) and Gtown who ran the same offense Air Force ran except with athletes.

I don't recall seeing as many plays reviewed all season as we saw this weekend.

UCLA was a power those FF years under Howland, somewhere along the line he lost his way but he had them rolling until that 2008 FF.

I do think UCLA can be a power again w/ a renovated Pauley Pavilion and the right coach. There's too much talent out there for them not to be a power unfortunately.

I agree w/ what you are saying on Gulf Coast.

Apparently there is more with Howland, the big rumor on the West Coast and I guess a few PAC 12 coaches have confirmed this is that he offered a scholraship to Kendall Williams out of high school and then he pulled the offer. I guess it was the way in hwich he did it that it really burned a bunch of the AAU coaches. I'm not sure I agree that it's a talent issue... he had plenty of good players this year, Muhammed, Anderson...etc..

BTW what the hell did Minnesota fire Tubby for? Dear Rutgers... fire Mike Rice and hire Tubby.

Tubby shouldn't have been fired in Minny. They are the disillusioned ones...

I definetely think Howland deserved the AXE in UCLA though. Between the shady recruiting and the recent disappointments he deserved it. He shouldn't be able to hang on those FFs of years past.

Honestly, I think his style of coaching and pace that he has his teams take is not right for UCLA. This is L.A., primetime basketball. Get out there and run and gun. They would be more attractive in recruiting california as well playing that way.. Howland's style was better suited for Pittsburgh.

They need to make a run at Shaka Smart, although I hope he stays at VCU. I love when coaches stick to their roots and don't jump ship, but Shaka would excel at UCLA and have those teams dominating the West for years and getting back to National relevance.

Minnesota has been delusional for a while now, what big time coach is going to win in that place with those pathetic facilities in that conference? They did the same thing with Glen Mason and their football team

Minnesota is clueless...But maybe they had a talk with a big name coach already and are waiting for the tourney to end to hire the guy.

Who knows, maybe Howland wants to go there...I bet Howland will get tons of offers
