OK, Im starting to feel not so good about the playoffs. I thought by this point that the first two lines would be able to score once every ten games or so but it doesnt seem to be happening. MR, Girardi and McD hav eboth not played up up to last year's performances. That would be a tough act to repeat but they have both dropped off from last year. I htought McD wasnt as bad as Girardi lastnight but I agree that he should be producing some more offensive chances. Hagelin has regressed to exactly what he was last year. Kreider played well. Cally can't seem to score.great effort every night but no production and its killing us. No reason to even mention Gabs and Richards obviously
These next three games are going to be big. Only because I don't know that they're capable of beating decent teams on the road. Philly is always a wild card game, Ottawa plays the Rangers tough, and Montreal is a house of horrors for this team. Kind of a show-me week if you ask me.
Multiple sources confirmed to ESPNNewYork.com that Norwegian forward Mats Zuccarello has agreed to terms on a contract with the Blueshirts, although he is still waiting for a release from his current team, the Magnitogorsk Metallurg of the Kontinental Hockey League. The diminutive 5-7 winger, who played for the Rangers from 2010-12, has an NHL out clause in his current contract with Metallurg that will allow him to return to New York once paperwork is completed. Zuccarello has 11 goals and 17 assists in 44 games with the Russian club this season. It is believed that Swedish winger Jesper Fast will be joining Zuccarello soon enough as well. The Rangers would like to bring the 21-year-old, whose team HV 71 of the Swedish Elite League was recently eliminated, to New York to see what he can do. Fast may be a candidate for the Swedish national team for the World Championships, however, which would require him to opt out of that invitation to come play in New York. Neither Zuccarello nor Fast require waivers to play in the NHL. Both players were included on the Rangers' reserve list to start the season. Zuccarello's deal, once finalized, will put the Rangers at 49 contracts total. The limit for each team is 50. The Rangers recently waived two players -- veteran center Jeff Halpern and defenseman Stu Bickel -- to get down to 48 contracts and allow them some roster flexibility I bet they go after a big name guy nexr, expect a big trade soon.
I saw something about him and his brother both agreeing that they'll wear visors from now on but that was about it. Nothing about him coming back.
I enjoyed the game last night. Good win for the Caps, but how bad was that Caps 5 on 3? They looked pathetic.
nothing resembling last years team whatsoever. i know they overachieved in a large way last year, but that simply leaves a kind of unconfident feeling with me the way things are now. no grit, no goals, not much top jump and shout about. I got spoiled last year.
I am selling two tickets to the Rangers Vs. Maple leafs game, Wednesday, April 10. Sec 210 Row 20 Seats 7 & 8. $115 for the pair. Message me if interested. Here is the view:
we went into the season with only two lines that could potentially produce. And theyre not so we're doubly screwed
What is truly amazing is that there are a number of moves they could make that would actually be addition by subtraction.. and they won't do them!
Johnny is such a bag of shit. He went out to Crosby's at the begining of the season and over paid by $100 for a Rangers Jersey.
I am starting to see a Jets trend here .. get really close to the big game.. tank a season, talk about rebuilding and geting a new coach.
Ive been making fun of people buying jerseys on this site for YEARS. I htink the last NYR jersey I purchased was a Mark Pavelich jersey . I believe I bought it at Joe Dimaggios on Northern blvd in Flushing. Grown men buying/wearing jerseys is completely ridiculous. And Soss, the blue seater assholes are hysterical. Vinnie from Queens and joey from Staten Island et al.....maroons. I remember sitting up there as a kid in amazement as to how stupid they were. Anyhoooooo..........
Sick of them both, softer then leftover cream cheese...for the right price I would trade them both, they suck equally
