LOL Enlgihten me. Who are the sources saying Revis is being shopped around? Last I heard, Idzik and Johnson both said they would look at all options, but as of right now he is not being traded. The only people claiming he is are reporters and "inside anonymous sources". Tampa Bay is WILLING to give up what they said for him. No one said he is being traded. And why is Rex lying? If Revis is being shopped around, tell me why Rex would have anything to do with it. Idzik and Johnson are figuring out what to do. Rex is there to coach the team on the field, not help decide what happens to the contracts of the players. I am going to laugh in your face when Rex gets signed to an extension. All you do is bash the guy and look for anything to say he will be fired. I only wish you knew how ignorant you actually sound.
what ive been saying forever now funny how things are playing out like ive been predicting. i could still very well be wrong, but it seems the jets have been doing there part to properly evaluate the market value for darelle revis this offseason, and thats about all. if this offseason has proven anything, its that the beat writers are completely clueless. its hilarious how you will see one interview come out, and then within the next hour every reporter will have the same article its pretty pathetic

Nice....glad to hear they upped their offer.....thanks for the update That's definitely an offer I would consider, especially since next years draft class is predicted to have better QB prospects, plus Clowney will be available. I still feel the Jets could squeeze another pick or two outta Tampa. Maybe a 2nd this year plus 1st/3rd next year. I think Woody and Idzik thought they would get better offers for Revis but now since they realize they wont get the world for him they might reconsider. All i know for sure is something has to happen before the draft next month if we are really gonna trade him and want picks for this years draft so there is no need to rush there is plenty of time, you cant rush a decision like this
I honestly didn't think it was real LOL I love Rex, but I didn't think he would do that in a million years haha And I wouldn't call laughing in someone's face a threat :grin:
Love you're post. What people fail to realize is that Rex Ryan is the coach, hired for his Defensieve placalling abilities. Why would Idzik, a new GM be asking Rex for anything more than the players work ethic ect?
Trading Revis is an essential component to the rebuilding of this team. Hopefully Idzik is creative with, not only finding value in the draft, but possibly trading back and acquiring picks. One thing this team has lacked has been quality depth, and stock piling picks can be a good way of building a consistent competitive team.
A cousins sister of an anonymous sources brother told reporters Tampa would be willing to give up the 2014 1st and 2nd. Tampa hasn't said they would give up anything.

What is he supposed to say? We are actively shopping Revis? He has no place on this team any more? Are you that dumb? Didn't Ryan already give you enough? He said he knows none of it, nobody said a thing about it, and Revis is not being traded to the best of his knowledge. If that's not enough, what more? His stupid guarantee that Revis WILL be with the Jets for the remainder of his career?
You know what, I'd be game on this type of offer. 2013 2nd round pick, 2013 4th round pick, 2014 first round pick and a conditional 2-4th round pick in 2014 based on playing time.
I love the game of football and I live and breathe this team. Unlike many on here, I cannot be a pessimistic fan. We have all gone through horrible times with this franchise, some more than others, but I will never look at the glass half empty. I expect a playoff appearance every year and if we don't get in, I look forward to getting in the following year. I am not a negative person and hell will have to freeze over before I become one. I'll tell you this much. Ever since Rex started here I have been amped up every season in hopes of something great. He may have his weaknesses, but he makes this team so exciting. Great coach in my mind and I hope he's here to stay
