http://www.bleedinggreennation.com/...never-had-spinal-stenosis-according-to-doctor Add him back to our draft board ... if this is the case, we have some more options at 9.
Again, if this is the case, he will not be at our pick. On the upside it will help push others down to our spot. I don't see him going to the chiefs who have good edge players already, but can see him to Jacksonville, Oakland, and at the latest Cleveland before us.
I already know it's a weak draft with limited pass-rushers, I doubt he falls to 9, you never know though. I'm hoping this pushes Dion Jordan down the ranks to us at 9.
I think we will now find our dominate pass rusher that Rex has been craving Jones i dont think will be there now but Ansah, Jordan, Moore and Werner will get pushed down because of it
Werner and Ansah shouldn't be our options at 9 IMO. Not sure about Werner's translation to a 3-4, and Ansah is a project. Jordan and Moore look pretty good at the 9 spot. If not, they should look to draft Warmack with the 9. Finding a strong pass-rusher will save Rex's job that's for sure
I agree about Werner and Ansah but maybe they've been immpressive in pro days? But would much rather Warmack if Jordon, Jones and Moore are gone
Great news, Jones probably won't get past the browns, might even be taken earlier. I've seen the Browns taking Jordan and Moore, so it definitely helps our chances of snagging one of them.
If Jarvis Jones is medically cleared by all teams then there's no way he lasts till pick #9. However, it does push down one player extra player for Jets to choose from.
yeah jarvis jones getting medically cleared helps us in every possible way as it gives us a very small chance to draft him (before i bet it was 0 because of the injury) and if he gets drafted before our pick (which is likely) it pushes other players down. i really want to like damontre moore, but why didn't he run the 40 at his pro day? i heard his tweaked his hamstring again, but seriously. i heard he did better on the bench press, but i really only care about the 40 because we need speed
If you care about a DLs speed you should really only be looking at the ten and twenty yard splits. Long speed for them is much less Important.
damontre moore would be standing up playing OLB for us, wouldn't he? coverage speed is pretty important there
Good news. It'd be great to see Star Lotuleti get a clean bill of health too... For his own sake and the Jets draft prospects
FROM Profootballtalk Jarvis Jones calls himself the best player in the NFL draft Posted by Michael David Smith on March 21, 2013, 12:31 PM EDT AP Georgia linebacker Jarvis Jones has no doubts about where he ranks among the prospects in this year’s NFL draft. “At the end of the day I think I’m the number one player,” Jones told D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution after performing for NFL scouts at Georgia’s Pro Day workout on Thursday. Jones didn’t work out at the Scouting Combine, so Pro Day was his opportunity to show what kind of athlete he is. According to Marc Weiszer of the Athens Banner-Herald, Jones ran the 40-yard dash in 4.85 seconds, which would be a disappointing time for a linebacker who was hoping to show off his speed. Whether Jones is the best player in the draft or not, he seems to be drawing a lot of interest from teams in the Top 5: He said after working out that he has visits scheduled with the Chiefs, Eagles and Lions. Suprised by the 4.85 40 its a bit slow.
