I gotta call you out on this one, junc. Earlier this week, you were saying that UNC should have been a 6 seed, and Nova should have been seeded worse. How is this possibly a toss-up game?
I believe that but I also don't believe there is a huge difference btw teams seeded 6 and 10. Carolina should win but would it be shocking if 'Nova won? of course not, it's shocking if a 2 seed loses not an 8 seed.
I think it's to heal the hurt feeling sof thise playing in the play in games. It is silly, Thurs/Fri are rd 1 games and everyone knows it.
I agree. Thursday/Friday is the first round. They call Tuesday/Wednesday the first round so that teams in the play-in games can pretend they were in the NCAA tournament. They aren't/weren't. The field is 64 and play begins on Thursday. Even bracket sites ignore the play-in games (deadline is Thursday morning). It's still a 64 team bracket. If you lose the play-in game, I don't consider you to be a tournament team. It's also ridiculous to pretend the play-in games are a "round". but they should be a 6 seed so it would be a little surprising, no? I agree that a 6 would be fair to UNC, by the way.
I am doing 4 money pools this year. It's by far the most I have ever done. I'm using the same bracket for all of them. Go big or go home!
Need to conjure up some good luck, so here is my daughter, at age two, singing the Villanova Fight Song:
Nice video, if I recall correctly that was during the '09 season? if so let's bring back those happy memories

Midwest Region: 2nd rd: UL over NC A&T Mizzou over CSU Oregon over Okie State SL over NM State St. Mary's over Memphis MSU over Valpo Creighton over Cincy duke over Albany(they finally get over the 2 vs. 15 hump:beer 3rd rd: UL over Mizzou SL over Oregon MSU over St. Mary's duke over Creighton S16: UL over SL MSU over duke EE: UL over MSU I am tempted to take MSU but I have been high on UL all year, I don't think they always played like a FF team but I knew w/ the talent and coaching they would get better and better and that has happened.
West: 2nd rd: Gonzaga over Southern Wich Sta over Pitt Wisc over Ole Miss LaSalle over K-State Belmont over 'Zona New Mex over Harvard Iowa State over ND OSU over Iona 3rd rd: Gon over WS Wisc over LaSalle NM over Belmont OSU over IS S16: Gon over Wisc NM over OSU EE: Gon over NM

Great article except for reason #1. Since 1995(18 seasons) they have advanced beyond the sweet 16 just 5 times. This is not the '86-'94 duke program. http://www.usatoday.com/story/gameo...a-tournament-bracket-mike-krzyzewski/2003359/
#3 Marquette favored by 3.5 over Davidson #4 Syracuse favored by 13 over Montana those seeds should've been flipped Last chance for vbetting http://forums.theganggreen.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=&f=37
haha. Interesting note on UNC vs. Nova, I believe this is the 5th meeting and in 43 of the 5 previous meetings the winner has won the Nat'l Championship and each time the winner has at least made the FF. UNC beat 'Nova in '82 Reg Final, wo Nat'l Championship 'Nova beat UNC in Reg final in '85, 'Nova won Nat'l Title UNC beat 'Nova in '91 2nd rd, UNC made Final Four UNC beat 'Nova in 2005 Sweet 16, UNC won nat'l Championship UNC beat 'Nova in 2009 FF, UNC won Nat'l Championship
That is a friggin scary statistic right there. Do you know what they are all time against each other? I remember one year under the Lappas Regeime, Villanova beat UNC TWICE in the same season. I also recall pigs flying, and eating a snowcone in hell.
