Oh and this was also posted. Check this out LOL Conor Orr Jets RBs (Greene, Powell, McKnight, Hilliard) had 41 catches for 332 yards last year. In 2010, Goodson had 40 catches for 310 in CAR. #nyj
OUCH!! 41 passes out of the backfield for an entire season. I think Goodson's signing means the end for McKnight if Jets draft a RB.
I actually like McKnight, he had some big runs and was a solid returner. Wouldn't mind keeping him on as just a returner, but I don't know if he'd like that, considering his comments when they tried him at cornerback.
You dont think those stats have something to with playcalling? Easy completion passes not for us last year. ha.
Hell yeah! I remember him beasting in Carolina and I thought to myself "either Carolina grows RBs on trees or that is one hell of a running system" LoL He definitely seems like he has the talent to be a 20+ carry back and put up respectable numbers.....can't wait to see him in action week 1. Mike Goodson has an excellent opportunity to become the feature back here. He has to make the most of it
As a side note Conor Orr has quickly become my favorite jets writer. No bitter bullshit, just stories about the team. I love it. As for Goodson, he has a nice opportunity, but similar issues to McKnight. I hope he finally learns to hold onto the ball.
The first time Goodson takes a short pass and jukes the linebacker for a 20 yard gain it will become McKnight who???????? I've hated McKnight ever since he pissed and cried about Rex trying him a DB last season. Fuck this out of shape baby.
Excited to see what Goodson can do for us, hope he can be that spark plug out of the backfield we haven't had since Leon.
thanks for the heads up. Jets articles have been so negative that I've been sticking to only blogs & internet forums. It's cool to get a respectable writer to follow.
