HOW DARE you question the legitimacy of Gonzaga! You should be banned from ever watching college basketball again.
KU really unfortunate if they have to face UNC in the second round. Same for Duke, because Creighton was horribly underseeded and they could be a second round opponent.
I reserve the right to change my mind before Thursday but at first glance: Louisville Georgetown Gonzaga Miami
haha I thought of you when the Zags got the 1seed over Miami. Terrible schedule and the marquee win is Kansas St?! Unreal. Sent from my Android Device
The Oregon thing is just baffling. Even if their argument is "we think the pac 12 stinks", how is Colorado two seeds better? Oregon 25-8, 12-6 conference, +8.1 point differential Colorado 21-11, 10-8 conference, +4.4 point differential Oregon also won the conference tournament and Colorado didn't win a single game in the conference tournament. Oregon won at UNLV, Colorado's best OOC win was at home against Colorado State. It's not even close.
I'm fine with the 2 seed... I was secretly wishing for that... A number 1 seed has undue extra pressure...We don't need that...
Pitt will beat Gonzaga. Bad matchup for the Zags IMO. Nova-UNC first round will be a hell of a lot of fun. I hate this bracket for Villanova, UNC is a tough 1st round opponent (but definitely beatable, will come down to them making outside shots). Kansas is beatable, too, though in Kansas City, it's a tough matchup. VCU and Michigan scare me as much as Kansas.

Imagine if Miami had the word "Duke" or "N.Carolina." Across its Jersey... Is that a 1 seed? Not even debatable. Sent from my Android Device
It probably happens if it is Carolina or duke BUT duke did get the last #2 seed when most thought they still had a chance at a 1 even after losing to MD. Theys everely underrated the ACC this year, it's a joke Miami got a 2 and carolina and State got 8s. I think 'Nova can beat UNC(I think any tam can) but it's a joke they got a 9, they should have been a 12.
I have a friend who is a Robert Morris guy and he shit his pants because apparently Kentucky is playing in Moon Township in the 1st round of the NIT. The guy is flying from Vegas to go see his alma mater play the Cats. I told him that never in his life will he ever see a brand of basketball like UK playing at Robert Morris. I think their gym holds about 3K.
They really have no idea when it comes to the Western schools. It was so apparent yesterday. A rematch of UNLV/Cal in San Jose. We beat them in Berkley without Birch and Moser so I think we take them fairly easily especially because I think we'll have more fans there than them but then Cuse plays Vegas on the West Coast. I think their zone will absolutely kill us. UNLV shots far too many jump shots and I don't think we'll rebound with the success we've had against other teams. No offense Cuse fans but I'm pulling for Montana. Oregon gets screwed... a freaking 12!!!! This team won the PAC 12, won in Vegas, beat UCLA, Arizona and was ranked most of the season. Like you said, terrible when you consider Colorado was a 10... just a joke. Tells me if Oregon didn't win the PAC 12 they might not haved gotten in. UCLA without Jordan Adams is a 6? This team has been mediocre most of the season and now they lose their 2nd leading scorer and get a 6? Have they watched the Bruins all year? This is a small one but Colorado State gets an 8 and SDSU a 7? CSU finished 2 spots higher than the Aztecs, beat them, beat UNLV. SDSU has underachieved all season and they get rewarded with a game they absolutely should dominate and CSU gets the dreaded 8/9 game and an extremely tough matchup. Gotta be honest though, the committe really gave UNLV a good draw. Easy flight from Vegas, a very winnable 1st round game. A potential match up with one of those teams that could get upset in round 1 and seeded us way too high.
I personally had Villanova as a 10 seed. When you consider that they were among the last 4 who got a bye, they would fall between 10-11, not 12. There is no way UNC should have gotten an 8 seed, that is just ridiculous. That team is no lower than a 6 in my book. The only way Villanova wins this game is if they get to the free throw line for 25 shots, as they were the best free-throw shooting team in the Big East. However, if that happens, I shudder to think of the posts you would make. I just can't see Jay Wright outcoaching Roy Williams. Not in a million years. I will say this for Villanova: they have absolutely nothing to lose playing UNC.
Carolina is reliant on the 3 pt shot now and if it's not falling they can lose to anyone. They don't get to the line as much anymore b/c they don't attacke inside as much as normal.
