dear goofball... you cant even rank jets properly.

curtis martin, whom IS a hall of famer isnt on your list. but you have 4 guys who are not even close to being hall of famers on your silly list.

this is exactly why nobody has any respect for your opinion. its so dramatically flawed.

the only thing revis does not have to make him a hall of famer is enough time in the league. once he does get enough time he will surely be a hall of famer, even if his production drops over the next 4 or 5 years.

    so please stop spewing absurdity

Idzik may take a lower offer (3rd) to send Revis to Siberia, er Tampa, out of shear fear Revis will play out the season and end up in Miami or NE, which is a very real possibility.

But I still think Revis will start the season as a Jet and rehab his knee on Woody's dime and in the friendly confines of Rex Island, then flee NY and sign a ultra-mega-super deal somewhere else.

edit: basically, Revis will take Flacco's lead and bet on himself.

Scenario you describe is the reason I'm so for trading Revis and don't give a shit about his fair value. I'm operating under assumption that he won't be a Jet in 2014. Hence, ship him out as far from AFC as possible. The more Jets get for him the better, but my starting negotiation position is a bag of footballs.

I stopped chronologically. Learn to tell time, but hey...thanks for making my point. You add Martin,Chrebet, now your closing in on 10.

Though, in Revis favor, i would put him near Chrebet on that list, though Crebet wasnt a two time holdout.

(ps...its curtis Martin WHO is a Hall of famer)

And since Mevi$ is not a hall of famer, Period...Thats not a judgeable criteria now is it?

What I said, was greatest Jets. Kind of simple, apparently just not simple enough for you.

I'm kinda thinking the same thing...

Would you applaud a 1st round pic that sends Revis to Miami or NE or be just as happy with a 3rd round pic that sends Revis to Tampa? That's gotta figure into the math somewhere.....

Yes. Id prefer a divisional opponent deal with the headache. Especially Miami, since they are overpaying for talent at the moment.

Revis goes to Miami, holmes gets shut out..,.hill and Kerley and Cumberland net 300 yards.

The Tampa Tribune doesn't expect the Bucs to entertain a Darrelle Revis trade for a few more weeks.
Beat writer Roy Cummings thinks the Bucs will see what else free agency has to offer while also waiting for the Jets' asking price to come down. Cummings thinks a trade could come to fruition around the time of April's NFL Draft. There is one thing of which we're certain: Revis will be traded at some point.

Wow - we are putting Wayne Chrebet in the same category as Revis? I loved the Wayner as much as the next guy but he was not half the player Revis is. Only things w/Revis is that he has played a limited # of years due to injury and age. Impact and talent wise he destroys Chrebet.

    Youre on drugs.

Impact wise, revis is barely in Chrebets ball park, the guy took iver, and Won games.

Revis, to be honest, is more physically talented, and has as much heart (as long as hes getting paid)...however, the unfortunate fact for you Mevi$ buttboy types remains.,,

Chrebet, played a far more consequential positiion.

How many game sealing plays does Revis have, by the way?

Oh, and no im not putting Chrebet in Revis category...i was being charitable by putting Mevi$ in Chrebets category.

Chrebet was a UDFA that became a star and a prototype.

Revis is an overpampered first round whiny bitch, with an inferiority complex.

And when Aso signs for 8, idzik needs to spit his orevious "well Aso got 15" argument back in his face.

I am a Jets fan...first and foremost...his idiocy, is hurting this team.

    So.

    Fuck him.

so being a udfa makes him better than Revis? or playing a position that puts you in position to ice a game makes him better than anyone on d? wow - interesting logic.

You sound ridiculous. You hate Revis we get it. That doesn't make him a worse player. Revis in 09-11 played better than any corner in history short of Sanders. Chrebet was the ultimate over achiever but never in his best seasons has he come close to playing at as high level of Revis. What year was Chrebet the best receiver in football?

Your whole argument is ridiculous. To say Revis isn't a top 5 Jet talent wise is hilarious and makes you sound petty.

I dont hate revis. Learn to read. I love him as a pkayer. But as a business man, hes an asshole, as was Sean Gilbert, but..,,to Gilberts credit, he played a bigger impact position.

But to diminish Chrebets impact on the tam to ride rhe revis pocket Rocket, is ludicrous.

no you said top 5 jets... thats not a chronological list. thats a list of the top 5 jets.

then you didnt include one of the actual real life hall of fame jets. one of the greatest jets of all time but DID list a bunch of guys who came up far short of that guy..

tell me it was a brain fart or something, dont bs me and tell me that your top 5 list works in chronological order.

He's been a huge dick business wise. That doesn't mean anything when it comes to how well he has played for the Jets. Chrebet was a good receiver but he's not even a number 1. Revis was the best at his position for 3 years. Chrebet wasn't a top ten receiver in his era. Not even the same ballpark.
