Idzik may take a lower offer (3rd) to send Revis to Siberia, er Tampa, out of shear fear Revis will play out the season and end up in Miami or NE, which is a very real possibility. But I still think Revis will start the season as a Jet and rehab his knee on Woody's dime and in the friendly confines of Rex Island, then flee NY and sign a ultra-mega-super deal somewhere else. edit: basically, Revis will take Flacco's lead and bet on himself.
Scenario you describe is the reason I'm so for trading Revis and don't give a shit about his fair value. I'm operating under assumption that he won't be a Jet in 2014. Hence, ship him out as far from AFC as possible. The more Jets get for him the better, but my starting negotiation position is a bag of footballs.
