He is right , we were one of the hottest teams in the league just a few years ago. Its crazy how fast all this happened. Ive never seen a NFL team spiral out of control so fast before. He says Rex has no chance to win but I disagree, Rex has to know that he needs to to make a miracle happen
criticism is warranted, cynicism is unnecessary, complete lack of journalistic integrity in the face of an easily exploitable target is lazy, irresponsible, reprehensible and unprofessional. nobody said the jets were perfect, far from it, but the constant garbage reporting and axe to grind attitude is just horrific. the jets are a joke because its easier to write about one. sure last season was bad, the moves leading to were too, and yeah back when he had a right to rex has had a streak of bold statements that no longer ring true. but that doesn't warrant them from acting like children and pandering to the lowest common detonator in terms of content of coverage. I look at any article that mentions rex's tattoo, the buttfumble or any other beaten horse as useless hacks that don't give a crap and feel they don't have to for such an easy target. the reason they do is because people respond to it, and the cycle goes on. we can't do much except demand better by denying views or readership of such works and ope theres enough to maybe get some quality control going. till then, screw these exploitive opportunists. The jets ain't a great team, but does that really excuse the likes of Cimini, manish and such for appealing to the lowest common detonator and being unnecessarily snarky? My personal feelings aren't hurt or anything I can take my favorite football team being ripped, but the level at which it is done and the reasons for it are just unacceptable.
Who do you think will win a championship 1st; the NY Knicks, a 40-yr drought from Team '73 or the 45-yrs & counting NY Jets? Just curious....
who me?... heh, as a fan of both I'd be happy either way but... I guess the knicks have more of a shot recent injuries not withstanding. maybe not this year (past the first round and out in my opinion) but they seem closer overall. the jets need a lot to sniff the trophy let alone win it. NYK has enough to get a whiff I guess, for now.
I refuse to click....Myers has yet to write a substantive article. He's a pure cock licking waste of page space with nothing to bring to the table. Total hack.
Soo Gary tells us nothing in the way about who's visiting/signed/could be signed/pure speculation, and instead graces us with this garbage. I guess if you're so bad at your job you can't even find out Willie Colon is coming out for a visit the way you hide that fact is to write moronic sensationalist dribble. What a fucking hack.
Gary Myers is biased towards the Giants. If you have seen him on the show "This Week in Football", its pretty clear that he's showing bias. YES Network needs to fire him, and hire someone who writes in the sports columns of WSJ or NY Times, not tabloid newspapers like the NY Post or the Daily News.
This is an absolutely brilliant post, and not just because I agree with every word. I am mystified by people who can't see the rampant unprofessionalism in the Jets beat writers these days. It has nothing to do with the quality of the Jets team (which, while hardly good, IMO is not nearly as bad as they would have you believe), but rather the fact that any notion of fairness or objectivity has been thrown out the window.
I agree. Very well written and inciteful. Some of the writers are literally children and quite embarrassing. I don't get it - the Jets are not perfect far from it but the criticism is absurdly amateurish and as you say lazy journalism. Much rather have in depth stories about the players, etc. but that takes getting off the couch.
